Looking out my studio window. A hot cup of earl grey tea. I see greens. So many greens in anticipation of a beautiful show of flowers to come. Seeds planted, tubers of dahlias throughout the garden bed. Breathing and admiring nature. I love this moment.

A bit chill, spring comes with surprises. And yet, still lovely here at home in Santa Cruz.

This painting took shape really fast. I remember going live and talking about how fun it is to cover up old work, and it really paid off. The flow of the brushstrokes felt natural, just like the water in the original piece.
