All Sports Tucson has released their awards for the 2023 baseball season. Congratulations to Coach Chad Chop on being named as the 3A Conference Coach of the Year, Bubba Mustain on being named the 3A Conference Player of the Year, and to Peyton Carson for being named the 3A Conference Freshman of the Year!! Also a big shout out to Noah Miller, Andres Castro, Noah Secrest, Tyler Mustain, Jude Luckow, Colin Sobecki, along with Bubba and Peyton for being named to the 3A Conference First Team.

🚨 AWARD SEASON 🚨
Congratulations to Junior shortstop and lead-off man Bubba Mustain for being named by AZPreps365 as the Arizona Offensive Player of the Year in the 3A Conference. Bubba was named to the 1st Team All-State for 3A, along with staff ace Noah Miller. We also want to recognize Andres Castro and Peyton Carson for being named to the All-State 2nd Team. Great job Lions, what an incredible season!!

Congratulations to former Lion standout Ale’ Castro and the Pima Community College Aztecs on winning the NJCAA Baseball Region 1 title today!

The Lions season comes to an end with a 4-3 defeat to the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks. What an incredible season for the boys, as exceeded many expectations given the age of this team. Next season we return the entire team with the exception of Tyler Mustain. Thank you to the coaching staff (Chad Chop, Will Nicholas, and James Allen) for all their time and effort into teaching these boys how to win, how to overcome, and how to be men. 🙏 Look out for the Lions in 2024!

Congratulations to Bubba Mustain and Coach Chad Chop for winning the 3A South Region Player Of The Year and Coach Of The Year, respectively. This marks the 3rd straight season that the Region POY has gone to a Lion (Ale’ Castro in ‘21 and ‘22). We’re doing good things in The Pride Land!!

WINNER! Lions top the Lobos by a score of 5-0 in the first round of the playoffs. Noah Miller with another strong start, going 6 2/3 innings, striking out 6. Mike Chop went 2-3 and drove in 2 for the Lions. Round 2 is Saturday at 2 PM right back in the Pride Land.

Opening Round of the 3A State playoffs begins today right here in the Pride Land! Your Lions will take on the Lobos from Snowflake. First pitch at 4:00 PM. Tickets for today’s game are available on the GoFan app. Search Pusch Ridge Christian Academy to pull up the game. Also, we will be grilling up free hot dogs for all those in attendance today! Come on out and cheer on the Lions as they go for state title!
