we provide critical transport education for flight and ground crews, and rescue classes.

The Rescue Company 1 was founded by Carlos Tavarez who was the first Firefighter / Paramedic on scene the night of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in 2016. Carlos had one mission; to train rescue & EMS professionals how to provide excellent treatment and care in difficult situations. At The Rescue Company 1, you will train with the best, so you’re prepared for the worst and "that others may live". Our instructors have multi-years of experience and are all currently active in their field so they can provide you with recent, realistic, and relevant training and an expert education in emergency medicine, flight medicine, emergency rescues, and critical care transports. We pride ourselves in specialized, intensive, and realistic training that goes far beyond a classroom or what you learn online. Classes are open to all EMS and rescue personnel, physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and anyone who is looking to advance their knowledge, skill sets, and take their training to the next level. We also provide training for the everyday citizen who wants to be prepared for a critical incident.

When seconds count upside down and underwater, instinct isn’t enough—muscle memory is everything. 🚁🌊

Are you truly prepared for an emergency water landing?

We are proud to bring hands-on Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) to the ECHO Conference. In aviation, survivability starts long before you ever leave the pad. Our immersive training is built by operators, for operators—giving flight crews the confidence needed to escape a submerged cabin safely.

Don’t wait for an emergency to test your crew’s egress procedures.

Great conversations happen in the classroom, but some of the best connections happen after hours.

Always a privilege catching up with the team from VIGILINT during some well-deserved down time at the ECHO Conference in Philadelphia. When dedicated professionals in critical care, rescue, and operational medicine come together, great ideas and even better partnerships follow.

Honored to share the mission with teams committed to raising the bar. 🚁⚕️

Hands-on learning in action this morning at the ECHO conference in Philadelphia!

Our TRC1 team completed an intensive, multi-system anatomy dissection lab, connecting real-world structure directly to clinical imaging and diagnostic precision.

Rather than viewing structures in isolation, attendees explored the body’s interconnected framework up close:

Cardiovascular & Vascular Systems, Respiratory System, Central Nervous System, Musculoskeletal System

Seeing and handling these tissues firsthand provides a spatial depth that a screen alone can’t replicate.

Day 2 in the books with the Broward Sheriff’s
Office flight crew, and the intensity didn’t let up.

Today was all about refining technique, staying calm under pressure, and locking in the critical muscle memory needed for shallow water egress training (SWET) and helicopter underwater egress training (HUET). When things go sideways in the water, you don’t rise to the occasion—you default to your level of training.

Watching this crew dial in their reference points, master egress mechanics, and trust the process upside down and submerged is what it’s all about. Another highly successful day preparing elite professionals to make split-second decisions when it matters most.

Outstanding work and focus from everyone in the water today. Train hard, stay ready.

This week in Broward County, the Broward Sheriff’s Office is hosting hands-on Shallow Water Egress Training (SWET) and Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET).

Operating frequently over South Florida’s waterways means our aviation and tactical personnel must be ready for any scenario. This rigorous training simulates emergency water landings and rollovers, challenging crews to remain calm under pressure, navigate disorientation, deploy emergency breathing apparatus, and execute life-saving egress techniques.

Dedicated to staying sharp, prepared, and ready to serve our community from the air to the water.
