While the majority of the team was at VIRginia International Raceway for the Zenith Racing Series 12 hour, we had our other experts at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the IMSA Mustang Challenge weekend.
We were once again back with our #98 Ford Racing Mustang Dark Horse R for driver Tate Pritt. As is typical with Mid Ohio, the weather was all over the place. Rain, storms, sun...the conditions were quite varied. Qualifying was extremely wet, and Tate did a great job in securing a solid P6 starting position for the car.
Both of the races were run in good conditions, and Tate earned well deserved P7 finishes in both. More importantly, he showed great progress by improving his lap times across the practice sessions and races. In the big picture, Tate and the team's consistent finishes this weekend and throughout the season have put Tate P5 in the overall points. Well done by Tate and the entire team!
As always, we appreciate the hard work done by all of the people at IMSA, Mid Ohio, and Ford Racing.
Next up for the team and series will be beautiful Watkins Glen International at the end of the June. If you have never been to the Glen, this would be the perfect time go.

It was a challenging weekend for the Automatic Racing team at VIRginia International Raceway. However, through all of the setbacks, our drivers and crew persisted.
Our #909 car, with Rob Pellosie, Charles Espenlaub, and Jackson Lee sharing driving duties, ended up with a hard fought 5th place in a tough field of SEBECO MOTORSPORT NP-01s. The car had a couple of minor issues during the 12 hour race, and that is what kept the car off of the podium. That said, P5 after 12 hours of racing in 90+ degree heat is still a great accomplishment.
The #908, wheeled by Max Opalski, Brandon Kidd Racing and Sebastian Rist, was not as fortunate. Multiple issues set the car back during the 1st half of the race, and ultimately, the car retired with fuel system issues.
We appreciate the hard work of all of the drivers and the crew as we worked through some very long days at the track, in very hot conditions.
Thanks to VIRginia International Raceway, Zenith Racing Series, USAC Racing, and all of the staff and marshals that make our racing possible! We appreciate you.

It's hard to believe that it was a year ago that we were dropping our cars and equipment off in Greenville SC for the trip to Le Mans. That was an amazing adventure, and we will be doing a few trips down memory lane in preparation for the big race next week (24 Heures du Mans). Hopefully we will race again over there soon!

It is a busy week and weekend for Automatic Racing! We will be racing the IMSA Mustang Challenge race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in our Ford Racing Mustang Dark Horse R, with Tate Pritt behind the wheel again. As always, there will be 2 45 minute races during the weekend.
In addition, we will have 2 of our SEBECO MOTORSPORT NP-01s in action at VIRginia International Raceway with the Zenith Racing Series. This will be a 12 hour race, and it will certainly be an extremely competitive one. We are excited for the challenge! Our driver lineup will consist of Max Opalski, Sebastian Rist, Brandon Kidd Racing, and Rob Pellosie.

We've been a bit quiet on social media lately, but we have had a LOT going on and we have a huge weekend coming up! For the first weekend in June, we will be in action with both IMSA Mustang Challenge at Mid Ohio and Zenith Racing Series at VIRginia International Raceway.
If you are in either area, come to the track and see us!
Now, the question you are asking yourselves. Where will the slushie machine be? That is still being debated. How about we take a vote? Indicate in the comments where you think it should be. Mid Ohio for 30 min practices and 45 min races? Or at VIR for a 12 hour race in very hot conditions?
