Riverside County Spring Fire: On 04-03-26 at 11am a vegetation fire was reported off of Gilman Springs Rd in Moreno Valley. Multiple ground and air fire resources responded to the scene. RSO also responded and assisted with evacuations and road closures. The fire has burned more than 4,000 acres. As of now, no injuries or damages to any homes have been reported.

LASD Deputy Vargas suffered a medical emergency during the Baker 2 Vegas run over the weekend. Unfortunately after life saving measures, Deputy Vargas succumbed at the hospital. Several law enforcement agencies from the state of Nevada honored Deputy Vargas as he was prepared to depart Nevada and return home. LASD air rescue 5 flew to Nevada to bring back Deputy Vargas to the San Dimas station.

ANAHEIM: On 02-03-26 at approximately 0847 hours, Fullerton fire department firefighters responded to the S/B 5 freeway at Euclid St, reference a three car collision with one vehicle fully engulfed. Units arrived on scene to find a Subaru SUV fully engulfed in the middle lanes of the freeway. All occupants were out of the vehicle. Firefighters checked for injuries and all declined transport. CHP Westminster office responded to the scene and took over the investigation. No further details at this time.

Fullerton team still going strong in the Baker to Vegas run! has support in Nevada!

ORANGE: On 11-23-22 at approximately 11pm, Orange PD and FD responded to the 1400 block of E. Lincoln Avenue regarding a traffic accident with a person trapped. Units arrived to find a pick up truck which had slammed into several parked vehicles. The driver of the pick up truck was able to walk out and was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Los Angeles: On 11-20-22 at approximately 2:31am, LAFD responded to a reported commercial fire on the 1400 block of S Long Beach Avenue. Units arrived to find heavy smoke and fire showing. After the fire fight, investigators located the body of a male deceased inside. One firefighter suffered burn injuries and was transported to a local hospital in fair condition. The investigation is ongoing.
