Handsome Devil - Fully Automatic jams

This is my 1973 Gold top Les Paul Deluxe, autographed by Mike Ness (Social Distortion). I met Mike when he discovered W**K at the Doll Hut in Anaheim in 1997. We were playing a show with DeGeneration from NY, and Mike offered to produce us. Not only did he produce a couple of W**K songs - he had W**K open the infamous “Live at the Roxy” shows and at the Palace in Hollywood. Mike Ness’ interest in W**K was instrumental in KROQ adding us and Madonna Maverick signing us. I could never thank him enough.
A few years later 2001, Handsome Devil was set to open for Social Distortion at Canes in San Diego. At sound check, I asked Mike to sign my Gold Top. He said he thought it looked like one of his old guitars - it probably was - I bought it from Rio’s pawn in Costa Mesa in the early 90s. Many thanks to Mike Ness for his influence, generosity, and rock and roll badassery. My signed guitar was displayed at the Slidebar in Fullerton for many years. It’s a prized possession, and it brings back a lot of great W**K, Handsome Devil, and Social Distortion memories. Great times!!
