Raising Rhett

Yesterday Rhett got to ride the bus for the first time on a field trip to the Irvine zoo! We rode the train. Saw mountain lions eagles and even got to touch a possum!

6 days in and we've almost got 75% of our fundraising goal! The boys have charged their fit bits and decided to see how many steps they can get too

Tomorrow starts the STEPtember - move together for cerebral palsy challenge. This is our first year participating the goal is 10,000 steps a day !!

Always pushing forward!

I'm so thankful that is in a school where he is given the chance to be independent! I got this text from his aid today!
Completely independent, he drew himself with his walker, "next to a shelter, holding a heart balloon, standing on grass with a water source. " 💜 Taking a step back and letting your child struggle to do things independently is hard but watching them succeed is so rewarding!

Rhett independently drew the stem and face on his Jack-o'-lantern in class today! He's so determined and focused at school. It's been a process but we're getting all of the support and tools for Rhett to be as independent as possible!! I'm so proud of him!

Working on motor skills with our new fluffy bunny! Rhett loves animals and incorporating them into therapy make it so much fun!
