Cat Crew Rescue

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the heartbreaking loss of our sweet Michelle, aka Fae. Despite everything we tried, we were unable to save our beautiful girl. For a while, we truly believed Michelle was going to make it. She had been doing so well on her FIP treatment and anti-seizure medication. Her symptoms had resolved, she was running around, playing, eating, and gaining weight. We were so hopeful that she had finally turned a corner and was on her way to a full recovery. However, yesterday, Michelle suffered another seizure. This time, it was prolonged and would not stop despite the anti-seizure medication she was already receiving. We rushed her to the emergency vet, where they administered two additional anti-seizure medications in an attempt to bring the seizure under control. Sadly, Michelle's seizures never resolved. After everything she had endured and every effort made to save her, we had to make the devastating decision to let her go. We could not allow our sweet girl to suffer. It is believed that Michelle had something more than FIP. She likely had something wrong in her brain; a growth or tumor or some birth defect. Michelle fought so incredibly hard. She was so loved, and she deserved so much more time.
We are heartbroken that her story ended this way, especially after watching her make such incredible progress. But we are grateful that she knew love, safety, and kindness. She was surrounded by her family who cared deeply about her and fought for her every step of the way. I am so very grateful for Michelle's family who stood by her, cared deeply for her when so many others would have walked away. They tried everything to keep her safe and help her fully recover. They had such a special bond.

Thank you to everyone who supported Michelle, donated toward her care, sent prayers and good thoughts, followed her journey, or simply cared about this little girl.

Rest in peace sweet girl.....

We have been working hard to TNR as many cats as possible and get colonies of cats under control. By trapping them and getting them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, ear-tipped and microchipped, it helps the cats and the community live better lives together. Four more cats from two different colonies are off to live better lives.

Autumn, another kitty trapped and brought to be spayed, vaccinated, ear-tipped and microchipped before being released back to her colony. Autumn will be living a better life after she heals, and no more babies for her!

Diana and Jim come to the rescue again! THANK YOU to Diana and Jim who have been working non-stop to make shelters and feeding stations for so many of our colonies. These shelters are going to make such a difference in the lives of these cats this winter. The shelters will provide much needed protection for our different colony cats this winter. We will insulate them and fill them with straw. THANK YOU to Diana and Jim for continuing the hard work and effort to help us make a difference in the lives of our local feral cats!

Happy Tail Update: Creamsicle lived most of his life outdoors at the Industrial Colony. He was so friendly with the caretaker, we decided to bring him inside and get him a forever home. Creamsicle was adopted by one of our families who had recently lost another senior orange cat they had adopted from us and showered with love for several years. They were heartbroken when he passed. They wanted to give another older cat a wonderful home, and they offered to give Creamsicle a home. He is doing great there and loving every minute of the love he is showered with. We LOVE receiving Happy Tail Updates!

Sweet Sweet Pea is a very sweet, affectionate and loving gray tabby, 10 week old male cat we recently rescued. He went to the vet and received a clean bill of health. Now he is ready to find his forever home. Email us at [email protected] to meet Sweet Pea!
