Nuke ‘Em Ruck Club

Meet and park at the east parking lot off Lincoln. We will step off at 9am sharp so be ready to go!

This was our first year participating in the 9/11 Stair Challenge where we climbed 110 flights of stairs in remembrance of the fire fighters that gave their lives that day in an attempt to save others. All proceeds went to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. This year they had a new record high participation and funds raised! We are honored to help.

The NERC has signed up for the Nebraska 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to honor one of the 343 FDNY firefighters who gave everything on 9/11. Climbing 110 stories is our way of saying we will never forget their courage and sacrifice.

We did it! We walked 50 miles from the Nebraska State Capitol steps to the Werner Ballpark in Omaha. It’s about 120K steps and it took us 22 hours. It was inspired. It was challenging and terrible at times, but mostly just amazing! Thank you to all the volunteers, especially Todd and Becky, that made it pods for the marchers to complete. Registration is open for 2027 if you’re interested in joining us next year!

Today is the big day! We are well on our way- we are halfway through our second leg already. The weather is pretty dang perfect, the company is amazing, and the support team is the best there is.
