Disabled students in this country are about to get bounced between three different federal agencies just to get the education they’re legally entitled to.
The Trump Administration just moved special education services to RFK Jr.’s Health Department and civil rights enforcement in schools to the Justice Department, without a single vote in Congress. Disability rights advocates are warning that families who once could call one agency for help may now have to file a lawsuit just to get their child the support they need.
These are kids with disabilities who are simply trying to get the education the law promises them. They deserve a government that makes that easier, not harder.
Trump Breaks Up Education Dept., Prompting Worries Over Civil Rights Special education programs and the civil rights office will be moved out of the Education Department, the most aggressive move yet by the Trump administration to dismantle the agency.
Remember when Trump said that he would cut your electricity bills in half?
Instead, power prices are rising at roughly twice the rate of inflation, data centers have strained power grids across the country, and you’ve paid the price for all of it.
It’s not enough to oppose the chaos and nonsense of this Administration. We must stand FOR something.
We need a real fix, and that’s exactly what my Energy Bills Relief Act delivers: clean energy deployment to bring your electricity bills down, restored tax credits for clean energy and EVs, a requirement that massive tech companies pay their own way instead of passing data center costs onto you, and flipped incentives to reward energy companies for saving you money.
It’s common sense, and Congress needs to make it the law of the land.
If ICE has nothing to hide, why does it make congressional oversight so difficult?
The Trump Administration has gutted the internal oversight mechanisms over ICE, leaving Congress as the only check on what’s happening inside these facilities. And Republicans have made clear they want no part of that responsibility either.
Meanwhile, they just passed another $70 billion for ICE with no accountability and no reforms. They have money for that, but not for your health care or care for our veterans.
Trump told the country his ballroom was “taxpayer-free.” His own contractor’s records say you’ve been paying for it the whole time.
The price has nearly tripled since last summer, from $200 million to $600 million, and more than $300 million of that is coming from your tax dollars.
Welcome to Episode 18 of the Corruption Chronicles.

Being a dad has taught me more about patience, priorities, and unconditional love than anything else in my life.
To my own kids: thank you for making me a better person every single day.
Today I’m also thinking about the dads in this district serving overseas, working double shifts to provide, or raising kids on their own. Fatherhood looks different for everyone, but the love behind it is the same.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.

The Trump DOJ is now arguing in federal court that Elon Musk’s AI company should be allowed to run dozens of unpermitted gas turbines polluting a Black community in Mississippi. They also argued the federal government should have the power to shut down citizen lawsuits like this one entirely.
This is the Justice Department intervening on behalf of a polluter, against the people breathing the air it’s polluting.
That’s not protecting national security. That’s protecting Elon Musk.
Elon Musk just became a trillionaire. The community next to his data center is breathing smog-forming nitrogen oxide and formaldehyde.
D.O.J. Seeks to Halt Air Pollution Lawsuit Against xAI Data Center The department cited national security concerns, saying Elon Musk’s company had played a crucial role in the Iran war. It also argued it has the authority to stop environmental lawsuits brought by citizens.

Kash Patel may be running a personal loyalty program inside the FBI, paid for with your tax dollars.
Agents on Patel’s inner circle and security detail have reportedly been getting secret cash bonuses, almost $8,000 every two weeks. Some agents have reportedly collected close to $40,000 each.
The price of that money, according to the allegations: total loyalty to Patel, and silence about whatever they’ve seen along the way.
The FBI does not exist to reward loyalty to one man. It exists to enforce the law, and I will not stop pushing until we get real answers about where this money went and why.
I’ve been saying it for months: Patel needs to go. He should resign, and if he won’t, Trump needs to fire him.
Kash Patel may have a 'personal slush fund' of taxpayer dollars to pay loyalist agents, says Raskin Rep. Jamie Raskin is demanding documents from the FBI director, citing claims that $8,000 payments are made to agents who carry out “unlawful partisan and personal orders.”

This should be on the front page of every newspaper in America.
Trump’s DOJ just shut down a federal investigation into a coal company owned by Sen. Jim Justice, one of his closest allies, after it racked up tens of thousands of alleged violations for dumping dangerous chemicals into our waterways. A veteran federal prosecutor with 24 years on the job said he had never seen anything like it.
The man who killed the case was Todd Blanche, Trump’s former personal defense lawyer and current Acting Attorney General. This is the same guy who just gave Trump, his family, and his companies permanent immunity from IRS audits. Now Trump wants the Senate to make Blanche’s appointment permanent too.
Equal justice under law was never supposed to come with exceptions for the President’s friends.
The pattern isn’t subtle: protect Trump’s friends, prosecute his critics, and get rewarded with more power. That is corruption, plain and simple. Todd Blanche must not be confirmed.
Trump Administration Killed Criminal Investigation of GOP Senator’s Coal Companies EPA and Justice Department officials were looking into potential criminal violations by the vast coal empire owned by Sen. Jim Justice. Then the Office of the Deputy Attorney General told them “pencils down.”
The through line in every Trump appointment is the same: total, unconditional loyalty. Not to the country. To him.
This Administration is silencing whistleblowers, firing inspector generals across the federal government, and pressuring people to sign NDAs so they can never speak up. The people getting appointed or promoted aren’t the most qualified. They’re the ones willing to do anything for Trump.
That’s not how you run a government. That’s how you run a mob.
And that’s exactly the problem. The people around him aren’t there to inform him. They’re there to agree with him, because Trump is unwilling or unable to accept reality.
On this day 161 years ago, freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in this country, two and a half years after it was supposed to. That delay tells you something important: the laws on the books and the lives people actually live are not always the same thing and closing that gap takes work.
Juneteenth asks us to hold both truths at once. This is a day to honor the resilience of those who endured that wait, and the generations since who have continued the fight to make this country's promises real for everyone. It belongs in our history not as a footnote, but as a measure of how far we still have to go to live up to our founding ideals.
