I couldn’t resist sharing one more graphic design by the legendary Milton Glaser. I love this piece he was working on right before he passed. In an interview he did with The New York Times he described the inspiration and idea for this project.

“We're all in this together' has been reiterated a thousand times, but you can create the symbolic equivalent of that phrase by just using the word 'together', and then making those letters [look] as though they are all different, but all related," he told the publication.” - from the NYTimes article.

Amazing at his craft and still doing culturally relevant work at 90yrs old while being isolated during this pandemic time.

This piece gives me visual hope for the future. So I wanted to share it in case you didn’t get an opportunity to see it yet.

✧Icon✧ Tribute to Milton Glaser, an icon in the graphic design world. Rest In Peace, dear Milton. Milton Glaser, a behemoth in the graphic design world, passed last Friday at the age of 91. If you are not familiar with him, I’m sure you’ve seen his iconic works. The Dylan poster and the I❤️NY logo are among the most popular. His illustrative and impactful career spanned more than 60 years. His work mixed a deep knowledge of art history with Pop culture sensibility. Lot’s of in-depth meaning to each piece. He said that graphic design’s job is to communicate. Which I think is so important especially during this unusual time we find ourselves in at the moment.
