Shells In Your Pocket

💚

Look at these beautiful photos of an OIB turtle momma, leaving her new nest!

Love coming across these sea turtle nests on the beach! The volunteers do such a good job of inspecting and logging each nest, and protecting them from predators. These two nests will be due to boil sometime in mid to late August. I would love to be here to witness those babies head to the ocean!

Ava and I had some ocean and ball time and we were drying off a bit when Mark took this photo of us from our deck. 😊☀️🌊🎾🐶🧡🤍

So beautiful out here! It’s more than 10 degrees cooler here than in Charlotte. Ocean breezes are waiting for you! Also, I’m allowed to have my drink floatie in the pool here but not in my own community pool back home… 🙄🙄🙄

* UPDATE - Taken! *

🏖️ Rare beach getaway opportunity! June 7 - 12 is still available at our 2 bedroom oceanfront condo and we are offering special rates to fill it. Message me for details!

Loving this space! Time to get nit-picky about things… some of which will probably have to wait until next year! I mean, really I’m grateful the whole front door and window area doesn’t leak anymore, and we don’t have carpet on the stairs, which were dirty and kind of smelly and we don’t have a moldy washing machine (which I hope is not temporary, lol)

Ocean Cove has a new showering station and a couple new picnic tables! We ready for summer!!!

I found a spot for half of the sail I painted for the other unit. The other half says 109 on it and the whole thing together is too big for this area. I can’t decide if it looks weird there, like it’s the wrong shape, and maybe I should make a new one. 🤷‍♀️ I’ll set with it a while. 😊 It looks like I could lower it some, what do you think?
