❤️ MORE THAN JUST A PAIR OF SHOES…. WAY TO GO JORDAN! ❤️

This week, a student walked into the Rock Room at Crystal River Middle School looking for shoes.

Sporting a Nirvana shirt, frayed jorts and well-loved high-top Converse, he had a style all his own. Unfortunately, we didn’t have anything that fit him—or his style.

But one of our team members (cough cough Jordan Elizabeth) remembered a nearly-new pair of Converse at home that would be perfect. She promised to bring them back.

When the shoes arrived a couple days later, we learned he had been checking in, waiting for them. His social worker simply told him, “If she says she’s bringing you shoes, she will.”

And she did. ❤️

This is what The ROCK Program is about. Yes, we provide clothing, shoes, hygiene items and other essentials—but sometimes it’s about going that extra mile to help a student feel seen, valued and confident.

Sometimes, a pair of Converse is more than just a pair of shoes. 👟❤️

Connecting Our Newest ROCK Room!

Amber Toth and Sarah Barnes spent time Monday Morning with the staff at The King's Academy introducing them to how The ROCK Program works and how we can partner together to support students.

The team also toured their new ROCK Room, seeing firsthand the resources now available to their students.

Great conversations, great connections, and another step toward making sure students have what they need to thrive! ❤️
