Most loss-of-control accidents don’t start with a dramatic failure, they start with a pilot who doesn’t recognize a developing upset until options have already narrowed. That’s exactly what we’re addressing at our next safety meeting.

Join us Wednesday, September 9, 6;00PM at PRP Aviation as we introduce our new Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) program, launching mid-September.

UPRT goes beyond standard stall and spin training, it’s built on three principals, Prevent -> Recognize -> Recover. The primary goal of UPRT is prevention - pilots should operate such that loss of control incidents are highly unlikely. When prevention fails through environmental or human factors, pilots should recognize a deteriorating or high risk situation and take action to mitigate that risk. Finally, when prevention and recognition fail to prevent an upset condition, trained pilots have the experience and knowledge to Act rather than React to a dangerous aircraft state. We’ll walk through what the program covers, who it’s for, and how you can get signed up once it launches.
