Just concluded the Apollo Outreach three day workshop -paper, animation and pasta at Moving Arts Espanola. Claudio Orso and Rian Brown-Orso took a van and drove to New Mexico full of paper pulp from the Morgan Conservatory of Papermaking, stop-motion animation computers, cameras and tripods, and with an Italian pasta maker and a block of Parmegiano Reggiano cheese to build new friendships and possibilities for collaboration. Friends Julie and Scott Bennet gave us a place to stay and former Oberlin Apollo Outreach student Cheryl Schubert came up from Albuquerque and surprised us, and jumped right into helping the kids animate their films. Such a powerful place and region. Made lots of paper, movies and new friends. Moving Arts Española
