We meet every Tuesday at Crafters Brew 856 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Start time is about 545PM and you can drop in anytime up to our quitting time: varies from 9pm to 10ish. Spring/Summer we are at the umbrella tables or the tent next to their kitchen; Winter and fall we move inside the beer hall. They have great food and also sober drinks. We are serious about the chess but it is all fun; we have all levels of players. Look for the sets/boards and introduce yourself!

Every Thursday this Month (AUGUST 2025) we will have USCF rated games at a site in Knoxville. This is in addition to our Tuesday Oak Ridge meetings...The registration link for the Knoxville Rated Games in August is below: The location is the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Church, Room C, 2932 Kingston Pike, Knoxville TN 37919.

This is a free, rated swiss tournament limited to 12 players on Thursdays in August. Time control for each game is SD/90 d10. Please register promptly to be assured of getting in the tournament. Registration closes Wednesday August 6th at 600PM. First round start time on August 7th is 6:00PM.

After our April 13th meeting we will switch to Tuesdays the following week: April 19th. This has become an annual switch to avoid the wednesday warm weather crowds. We will be meeting at the umbrella tables and/or tent located near the kitchen. In really bad weather (which is rare) we can meet at the booths/tables in the kitchen area

We have decided to not fight the rescheduled St Patty day event this Wednesday: So, see you for CHESS the following Wednesday March 23

This next Wednesday will likely be crowded due to Crafters St Patrick Day celebration. We will likely move to our summer umbrella table near the kitchen, or in the kitchen, if weather is inclement.

NOTE week 10 of trivia is delayed so that puts the 400$ trivia round to April 14. Let me know if you can help us again in the 400$ round!
