Strength, beauty + reliability //
Progress on the new Activities Building at Camp Kaufmann in Holmes, NY. Open year-round, the facility stretches over 425 acres and welcomes Girl Scouts from across New York City.

DRPILLA is providing structural analysis + engineering design for the lateral force resisting system for the proposed 12,000-square-foot prefabricated glulam structure.

The project is scheduled for completion in September 2023.

10 Sheridan Square //
FUN FACT: The intersecting streets at Sheridan Square and 7th Avenue South are some of the most well-known in Greenwich Village. While surrounded by notable structures, 10 Sheridan Square (aka Shenandoah Apartments) is one of the most prominent structures around the square. The two-story base blends stone + brick, + the wedge-shaped building rises 14 stories above a predominantly low-rise district.

We are providing full A+E design services for this landmarked penthouse renovation project located in . The proposed quadruplex spans from the 11th floor to the penthouse level to create a new 6,285-square-foot family-functional configuration.

Renovations to this existing 12,000-square-foot Oyster Bay home originally built in 1918
We provided structural engineering design for the installation of a new elevator, reframing of the existing exterior balconies and existing roof system to accommodate a new slate roof, addition of a new covered pool porch, and interior modifications throughout.

(Did we mention this home backs right up to the greens of the Piping Rock Country Club? Can you tell we're ready for golf season again? ⛳️🙌🏻)

Top to bottom renovation . . INSIDE LOOK: The eye travels up and down the vertical lines and planes in this kitchen, which stays streamline but grounded by its darker half. Dark focal points creep up on the omnipresence of all-white modern design, creating a beautiful harmony throughout the home.

PROJECT BACKGROUND: Renovations to the existing seven-story multifamily townhouse with a PH addition + bulkhead level. The ground-floor level will be a designated community facility with residential apartments spanning the 2nd to 9th floor levels. . . STAY TUNED for a sneak peek!

The renovation accommodates more than 5,600 square feet of new exhibition spaces spread across the first three levels.
THE DETAILS: A wall on the second floor was removed to create a dramatic overlook into the sky lit, 22-foot-tall exhibition space. The basement + top three floors accommodate art handling, offices, private viewing rooms + an artist studio.

Our final exhibit wrapping up week! The , located at 16 East 55th Street, brings new life to a six-story Georgian-style townhouse. The early 20th-century building was transformed into a distinctive space for contemporary art.
FUN FACT: the original façade + grand staircase from the 1930s were preserved + restored to honor the building's history.
