Abbey For Novato

I’m grateful to have the support of our local firefighters - the men and women who respond when our community needs them most. Their endorsement means a great deal because firefighters know firsthand what strong leadership, responsible stewardship, and dependable public service look like. Marin Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1775

Honored to have earned the trust of the Novato Federation of Teachers and the North Bay Labor Council. Strong unions make for a strong future and now more than ever we need to support the workers who are the backbone of Novato!

Excited to earn this early endorsement from the Marin IJ. Their endorsement process was thorough and thoughtful, and I’m grateful for their confidence in my leadership.

This is a moment to think clearly about the future of our schools — how we attract and retain great educators, strengthen programs for students, support families, and make smart decisions with limited resources. That takes experience, sound judgment, and a real understanding of Novato.

I believe deeply in what Novato’s schools can be. With thoughtful leadership, strong community partnerships, and a clear focus on students, we can keep building schools that families are proud of and that every child has the opportunity to thrive in.

Editorial: Novato should reelect Picus to school board In Abbey Picus, the school board has an educator who knows the local public schools from the perspective of being a parent and from being a classroom teacher.

Happy Labor Day! Just a reminder that unions are why we have weekends and worker protections. A big thank you to all of our NUSD staff and union organizers. We must take care of the workers who take care of our children.

She was amazing. An inspiration for me, and for generations of women to come.

Great day of games for a good cause. Maybe my team didn’t win at co****le, but I think we raised some good money for Novato sports! And everyone had a great time.
