Happy to celebrate Deanne Gagne's Self-Advocate award from RIPIN alongside Tanja Blicker Ucran from RI Cross Disability Coalition.

Ocean State Center for Independent Living hosted Rep. Seth Magaziner in a roundtable discussion focused on Medicaid. Rep. Magaziner cited statistics that support the continuing need for Medicaid support. Participants sharing their stories were: Allyson Dupont and Christina Battista; both noted the critical need of funding whether for medical equipment or personal care, and both are employed full-time.

Attendees included: Kevin Nerney, RIDDC; Disability Rights Rhode Island's Morna Murray, V. Sherlock Center on Disabilities / RI College's Amy Grattan, Ocean State Center for Independent Living (OSCIL)'s Mireille Sayaf, Will Beaudoin caregiver for son, Andre; and RI Commission on Deaf and Hard of Hearing's Michelle Cline.

A wonderful tribute to the life and works of Peg Fletcher today at Central Congregational Church. Her family curated a gallery of her artistic work plus beautiful pictures of Peg and her family, including a narrative with highlighted dates of her 92 years.
