On the Half Shell

A little coastal refresh! 🌊🤍

Greg gave this sweet table a whole new look for a neighbor who wanted it updated to better complement her coastal home. A fresh, soft finish turned an older piece into something that feels light, timeless, and right at home with her décor.

We love giving well-loved pieces a second life! 🐚✨

And a special thank you to our wonderful neighbor for supporting On The Half Shell and trusting us with her piece. We truly appreciate your support of our little business!

If you are located in the NMB area and have a special piece that you would like updated, please reach out to us! We would love to work with you!

Another custom order is on its way to its new home! ❤️

These three coastal shell shadow box pieces were created especially for a wonderful customer, and I’m so grateful they chose my work to be part of their home. From a coastal rosé scene to sandpipers by the shore and a charming lighthouse, each piece was handcrafted with love using natural shells and carefully selected artwork.

Thank you for supporting my small business—it truly means the world to me. I can’t wait to create the next special piece! 🌊🐚

For my daughter’s birthday, I created this image representing the greatest gifts she has ever given me - 5 precious grandchildren! I added the image to a hand painted frame and embellished with tiny pearls and shells. ❤️

“The greatest gifts you ever gave me call you Mom.” ❤️

My grandson found this jumbo clam shell — about 6 inches across — and asked me if I would paint it for him. 💙

He loves fishing, and he recently caught a largemouth bass, so this photo felt absolutely perfect for the shell. I wanted to turn it into something special that captures both his big catch and the sweet memory of him finding the shell himself.

A simple shell became a keepsake I hope he’ll treasure for years. 🎣🐚

🌴 Coastal whimsy meets handmade charm 🧜‍♀️🦩

Just finished these two one-of-a-kind framed shell art pieces, and they are full of personality!

The first features a bright tropical flamingo created across layered oyster shells with a soft coral frame and a sweet palm leaf accent. The second has a dreamy mermaid decoupaged on scallop shells, finished with soft aqua, shimmer, and a distressed coastal white frame.

Each piece is hand-painted, decoupaged, resin-sealed, and framed for a beautiful 3D effect — perfect for a beach house, coastal gallery wall, nursery, powder room, or anyone who loves unique ocean-inspired art.

Love Snoopy!

I’m loving how these two pieces came together — soft floral decoupage, handmade mussel shell butterflies, delicate pearl accents, and hand-painted distressed frames for that perfectly aged cottage look.

Each piece has a sweet vintage garden feel with a touch of coastal charm — perfect for a shelf, entryway, bedroom, or gallery wall.
