Bay Optical Lab

Bay Optical Lab first opened its doors in 1970, started by John Flaxel MD, Robert Klever OD and later joined by Arthur Steele MD. The need for more space and better equipped facilities was met in 1979 when Bay Eye Clinic and Bay Optical Lab moved to their current location at 3585 / 3587 Broadway in North Bend. To date we have undergone more than three remodels enlarging our dispensing area and adding the only full surface lab on the South Coast. We boast an extensive selection of designer frames as well as a full line of fashion and sport sunglasses. Our experienced opticians are certified by the American Board of Opticians and are trained to help in the selection of the most current lenses and frames to suit every need and lifestyle. Bay Optical Lab exists to educate the public on the availability and uses of newest in state of the art lenses and frames and to provide service long after the glasses are dispensed.
