This message right here is why we say: One size does NOT fit all. ❤️

In 2021, after experiencing severe basement flooding, this Crestwicke homeowner called us because his existing sump system simply couldn’t move the water out fast enough.

Jerry designed a new system using two ¾ HP Goulds sump pumps, increasing the discharge piping from 1½" to 2", and ultimately combining them into a 4" outlet — a system designed specifically for the amount of water this property needed to handle.

Fast forward to the storms we experienced last week…and that system was seriously put to the test.

According to Phil, the volume of water coming into his basement was even greater than it was during the flooding in 2021. At times, both pumps were running full blast for nearly two minutes, barely shutting off before kicking on again.

And the result?

His basement stayed dry. 🙌

While several neighboring basements flooded, the system installed four years ago performed exactly as it was designed to perform.

We can't thank Phil enough for taking the time to send us this message. Hearing stories like this after the storms means more to us than you know.

A sump pump isn't just about horsepower. It's about designing the right system for YOUR home and the amount of water it needs to move.

If the recent storms have you questioning whether your current sump system is adequately protecting your home, give us a call. We would be happy to take a look and make a professional recommendation.

What a crazy few weeks it has been here in Bloomington-Normal! ⛈️

We’ve been fortunate to receive so many grateful calls and messages from customers whose sump pump systems were put to the test — and did exactly what they were designed to do.

But one thing these recent storms have reminded us of is that one size does not fit all when it comes to protecting your home. What we once considered a “normal” storm seems to be changing, and your sump pump and backup system need to be able to handle the amount of water your home is actually receiving.

If you’re unsure whether your current system is up to the task, give us a call to have it reviewed. We’ll evaluate your setup and provide a professional recommendation based on your home’s needs — from a licensed plumber with more than 28 years of experience.

Because the best time to find out whether your sump system can keep up is before the next big storm. ❤️
