Our travelers are safely home after an exciting and eventful trip to Boston! They made it through the Nor'easter and were also able to visit the Flight 93 Memorial in Pennsylvania.

We are excited to welcome our new Program Coordinator, Annie!

Annie Ripley Householder joined the staff at Faith In Action at the end of September 2026 after retiring from Edward Jones Investments. As our Program Coordinator, Annie helps ensure our Care Receivers, with the support of our dedicated volunteers, are able to meet their grocery shopping needs. In addition to coordinating the grocery shopping program, she also assists with supporting other Faith In Action programs and services, helping us continue our mission of serving older adults in our community. In her spare time, Annie is a sports enthusiast, most notably a long-suffering Cubs fan. She is very involved with her church and enjoys crocheting when she’s not off visiting family and friends in Florida and other such exotic places.

We had a great time this week at the Bloomington Senior Showcase! We love being able to connect with our community.

Our next board member spotlight is Virginia Jordan-Benson!
Virginia Jordan-Benson became an advocate for Faith in Action (FIA) in 2017 after taking a FIA bus trip to Asheville, NC. She has served in various volunteer capacities since that time, as a friendly caller/visitor, personal shopper, and church liaison. In 2022, she joined the board as a director and serves on the Volunteer and Community Support Committee. Virginia retired from State Farm Insurance in 2023 after 30 years of service. In retirement, Virginia serves on the board of two organizations that provide services for seniors. She is an active member of her church and the Young at Heartland Theatre group. Virginia enjoys playing mahjong and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. See less
