Big Announcement for Push Comedy Theater Performer…

Super excited to announce that the show I cowrote with Sean Devereux/Tim Flaherty/sonya, The SuperPickle, hilarious parody of pickleball just cast the ever so talented, Rachel Gary for the national touring show. She will be joining Sonya, Nate Baaki and me in Buffalo, New York on October 24th. Tickets still available.

Super pumped to have Rachel join this tour and you can see the two of us perform tonight comedy theater at 8pm in another touring show called Date Night. She is filling in for the amazing Courtney Richard and it should be a wild night at push.

Rachel is now part of this wild cast that will be touring the states all of 2027 and hope y’all can make it out when it hits your city. Congrats Rachel and can’t wait to get a lot more performers from Push on the road to show their talents.

But first is tonight’s show of Date Night. Rachel and I will be grabbing your romantic stories and making them come to life through improvisation!!! Baby Fletcher’s Lessons from Daddy…

My big man, lil bits, Fletcher turns 11 weeks old today at noon. Per usual we will throw him a birthday party. During these 11 weeks I am noticing a pattern. Whenever he wakes up or needs a diaper change and Braddy-Daddy is in charge I teach him Daddy Lessons. Some I learned from my mother and some I learned from my dad.

Here are the things that baby Fletcher is learning. Per my momma, I ask him “where’s the light? Where’s the light? Where’s Da-Da? Where’s Ma-Ma? Where’s the blanket? Where’s the door? Where are your fingers, nose, tum-tum? When he looks in the direction of any of those questions I say, “YAY!!! That’s right big man!!”

Taught baby Fletcher about the best university in the world ODU (the Harvard of the South). Told him I am a semi professor there of giggles and we went to DelVecs for pizza (see pic). He knows he’s a monarch and he bleeds blue.

When changing his diapers, I always talk to him about history. Baby Fletcher is already aware of how democracy got started, why Ben Franklin is so important to American history, Nat Turner’s rebellion, Hannibal crosses the alps, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, the bay of pigs invasion, and how he has the freedom of speech, expression and religion. He is a fan of a democratic republic so far, but he understands the issues.

Yesterday I taught baby Fletcher about comedy at the Push Comedy Theater. He learned the Harold, the difference between long form and short form improvisation, the history of his daddy’s Pushers group, sketch comedy, and that comedy can be observational, hyperbolic, parody, and character. He really loves deadpan humor because he started to sleep during this history of his daddy’s comedy career.

I’m worried that baby Fletcher’s first words are not gonna be Ma-Ma or Da-Da because he loves when I say another word. He almost mimics it every time I say it. The word of “Pee-You.” I say it after every time he toot-toots on me. I say, “Did you just toot-toot? PEE-YOU!!!” He smiles and I’ve even heard him slightly mimic it after he toot-toots on me.

Baby Fletcher loves music and is a die hard Bob Marley and Frank Sinatra fan. When he gets fussy I play Bob and he starts to sway and wiggle. He has a real ear for the islands I suppose and I respect that. When My Way by Frank Sinatra plays, he gets very serious faced and starts getting cocky. At this point he is doing it his way.

Baby Fletcher is learning about basketball and thoroughly enjoys the sound of bouncing ball. He has watched me play opponents now two times and I have dominated in his presence. We watched the Indiana Fever play in the wnba playoffs and he appears to be a Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell fan. I imagine we will be watching the wnba playoffs tonight late if his mom (Sandy Gamlin) wil Let us.

Baby Fletcher loves the sound of Columbo’s voice and is a huge fan of Murder, She Wrote. He knows that Jessica Fletcher did have something to do with why he is named Fletcher (two part story). He loves murder mystery and I am currently buying him a baby deerstalker hat Ala Sherlock Holmes. He is a true baby detective.

Baby Fletcher is also teaching Braddy-Daddy how to look at the world again through young eyes. He loves hearing stories of his grandmother Betty McMurran and he knows that she was her daddy’s best friend. I wish she were here to help teach him the world. I wish she would have met this little guy. She would have loved this big man.

Gotta go back to teaching at the Harvard of the South (ODU). I will get back to teaching him about the battle of Yorktown later.
