Alcohol free events, because sober isn't boring.

If little me could have seen where we’d be now, I don’t think she’d believe it.
You see, I barely made it through school. I struggled with grades. I never was really “good” at anything. I never felt like I belonged anywhere.
That’s part of what led to my addiction — a sense of loss, a sense of not having a purpose.
But now? I’m building and scaling a company. I’m speaking. I’m writing. I’m leading a movement. And in the middle of all of that, I have overcome mental health challenges, addiction, infertility, being a military spouse, childhood trauma, Adenomyosis, and chronic pain.
To say my life has been easy, it just hasn’t. And no one’s ever is. But I’ve overcome one challenge at a time, my whole life. If there were a theme, it would be resilience.
There were days I was in the psych ward where I thought my life was over. Where I wanted to end everything. But I stayed a little longer.
And I’m so glad I did.
I know the journey is really only just starting to ramp up. But I wanted this message to reach anyone who is in the middle of creating. anyone who feels lost or stuck. Just hang in there, because you don’t really know what’s around the corner. If you had told me this would be my reality, I wouldn’t have believed you.
If you’re reading this, I hope it inspires you in a small way. 🤍

My husband and I are dealing with infertility.
And one thing I’ve noticed is… people don’t really know how to sit with someone in pain.
And I get it.
Pain is uncomfortable.
Most of us were never taught what to say or how to show up.
So we try to fix it.
We try to make it positive.
We try to move past it as quickly as possible.
But what I’m learning is…
we actually have to get better at being uncomfortable.
Because real connection doesn’t happen when everything is easy.
It happens when someone is hurting and we choose to stay.
Here are five ways we can better show up for people in their pain:
1. Don’t fix it. Just acknowledge it.
“That sounds really hard.”
2. Reflect, don’t redirect.
“I hear how heavy this is for you.”
3. Name it instead of softening it.
“This really sucks.”
4. Stay. Even if you don’t know what to say.
“I’m here with you.”
5. Ask what they need.
“Do you want me to listen or help problem solve?”
It’s simple, but it’s not easy.
And I think if we got better at this,
a lot more people would feel seen, supported… and less

We’re excited to announce our next speaker for Sober Storytelling: Diane Boyd.
The next event is March 25th from 6-8 pm. Event is free, but registration is required. Head to link in bio to register.
Diane Boyd is a serial entrepreneur, life coach, and peer recovery specialist who founded One Step At A Time Recovery House, a residential program supporting individuals overcoming substance abuse. Drawing from her own recovery journey and years of leadership experience, Diane is passionate about restoring hope and helping people reclaim their lives one step at a time. She is also the author of From Pills to Purpose, where she shares her personal story of resilience and transformation.
Sober Storytelling is an in-person event where I sit down with individuals who have chosen sobriety and invite them to share their stories. Each speaker brings a different path, perspective, and experience with recovery, giving us a chance to hear the many ways people build meaningful lives without alcohol. The goal is simple: to offer hope, spark conversation, and remind people that there is no single way to live a sober life.
