I had a great view of Venus next to the moon, and Jupiter up top, before testing an 100 telescope that I serviced last week.
Restoring a 40+lb iron , because is fun! ! Want to bring real meteorites into your classroom or event? Send me a message! Special shout out to American Museum of Natural History for doing amazing work displaying meteorites and educating the public about them.

Sometimes, you just have to take everything apart on the floor to get at the problem! Now, Fixed! Like-new. Celestron CPC 9.25" telescope remounted and running smoothly. Celestron makes something for every level of astronomer. Their gear has shown me amazing things. I am not a paid promoter. Maybe someday.😄 ,

Sometimes, the universe gives you a present. Check out the newest meteorite at a great show!
Stop on by this weekend and witness a stone from space that landed here on earth just 9 days ago, recovered by me during a search from February 18th through the 26th in Ohio. This meteor’s sonic booms shook thousands of homes, and was estimated to weigh 7 tons and was 6 feet in diameter before fragmenting. NASA considers this to be a small asteroid. It released an energy equivalent of 250 tons of TNT. This was a once in a lifetime event here in Ohio. The meteorite itself looks to be a eucrite - a part of Asteroid 4 Vesta. I’ll have the meteorites on display during the Philadelphia Mineralogical Society Gem, Mineral, Meteorite and Fossil Show this weekend!
