Wow! A really good read!

"God wants me to recognize that my ideals, my plans, my dreams are not always the best. But His are. God’s thoughts and our thoughts aren't the same. His thoughts and His ways are always higher and better than our ways and thoughts.

Although I envision the perfect birthday, vacation or future wedding, God may have a different plan. A better plan. Maybe not "perfect" in the way I imagine, but perfect according to His plans and purposes.

This is especially hard as a mother. Wanting the very best for our children, we can get our hearts set on the best pre-school, middle school, high school or college. Knowing how hard it can be to make it in this world, we press in with our plans, suggesting or insisting our children pursue the degree, career or marriage choices we think are best.

The problem comes when we forget the most important part of the plans: God's thoughts and His ways.

Although there is value in our wisdom and experience, we must be intentional to give attention to God and His perfect wisdom for their future. Because without it, we can hinder the process of our children learning to hear from God for themselves.” - Lynn Cowell

We were so glad to have Kidz back this past Sunday! What fun we had! Just a reminder, this is how we divide up our age groups in Kidz:

First Look: Infants & Toddlers
First Look: 2's
First Look: 3's
First Look PreK-K: 4yrs-Kindergarten
252 Basics: 1st grade - 5th grade

RIVERPOINTKIDZ IS BACK!! We are so excited to have all the kiddos back this Sunday! We will be in full swing for both services. If your child is a first grader this year, they move up to 252!

Rise & Shine and give God the glory! The campers all slept well last night and they're excited for today!

Camper Parents - What a great first day we had at camp! The weather cooled off a bit, new friends were made, rec games played (Philip Busse was the big camp winner of Coconut, Monkey, Shark!), we heard a really impacting message at chapel and now IT'S BEDTIME! We can't wait for tomorrow!

Just a reminder: We are taking a break in most of our Kidz area during the month of July. We will have 2 rooms open, infants & toddlers and 2's & 3's. Our PreK-K area and our 252 area will both be closed for the month. Thank you for allowing the Kidz Team this break to refuel for our next season! And a BIG thank you to all who will be stepping in during the month of July to care for our infants - 3yr olds! What a blessing!
