Elizabeth Devlin, combining an enchanting, lilting voice and Autoharp, is a NYC singer-songwriter with avant-garde folk sensibilities; she defies traditional song structures, weaving small worlds where magic and fantasies collide. Elizabeth Devlin "Once Again Sleep" (Official Music Video) 02/22/2025

Rain, mermaids and men—February 23rd, 16 years ago, in 2009, I released my first music video, an accompaniment to my song “Once Again Sleep”, animated by Moselle Spiller. It was the introductory track to my debut, full-length album, “All Are Relative”, released the same year—it’s been an awesome ride and thanks to everyone who has supported my music over the years. Feel nostalgic with me; give us a watch and listen 😭☔️🧜‍♀️

On this day, 8 years ago, a day after inauguration, I joined thousands of Americans for the Women’s march on the capital. We walked, we screamed, we shouted, touted signs and wore pink ears and knitted pink hats. We exercised our constitutional right to free speech and experienced the power of peaceful assembly.

As we head into a new term, with the same president, whom I hoped never again to see in office, I am reminded that there is still power within the people. Now, more than ever, we need to fight injustice and support the people we love, by volunteering, and donating our money and our time. During the next four years, we need to keep close and preserve the hope. The friends and family and community that got us through the last term, will carry us through this one. If you are a friend of mine, reach out to me if you need help, and I will do what I can to be a friend and support you.

I am v aware, and thankful, that the city in which I live, is aligned with most of my views but that people who share my views, in rest of the country, may be faltering, and people who need it, may not have access to the healthcare and support. I BELIEVE THAT ALL PEOPLE DESERVE ACCESS TO FAMILY PLANNING, ABORTION AND GENDER AFFIRMING CARE.

Here are a list of organizations advocating for the needs of people who don’t disappear, even when the laws change. Please consider reaching out to these organizations, complete volunteer intake applications and donate money, if you are able, and/or share about these organizations, by posting about them on social media and spreading the word, to further support.

The Trevor Project (www.thetrevorproject.org) is an American nonprofit organization founded in 1998. Focused on su***deprevention efforts among le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, q***r, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth, they offer a toll-free telephone numberwhere confidential assistance is provided by trained counselors. The stated goals of the project are to provide crisis intervention and su***de prevention services for youth (defined by the organization as people under 25), as well as to offer guidance and resources to parents and educators in order to foster safe, accepting, and inclusive environments for all youth, at home, schools and colleges.

The New York Abortion Access Fund (www.nyaaf.org) NYAAF funds abortions for people living in or traveling to New York State. We trust that people are experts in their own lives and support 100% of callers, regardless of income, age, or citizenship status.
We work with most abortion providers in New York State (and a few across the country) and make pledges directly to clinics on behalf of our callers. When a clinic we work with sees a patient who needs assistance, NYAAF is one of the potential funding sources to which they turn. The clinic then bills us for the amount we commit to covering.

Planned Parenthood (www.plannedparenthood.org) is an American nonprofit organization that provides reproductive and sexual healthcare and sexual education in the United States and globally. It is a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). Planned Parenthood consists of 159 medical and non-medical affiliates, which operate over 600 health clinics in the United States. It partners with organizations in 12 countries globally. The organization directly provides a variety of reproductive health services and sexual education, contributes to research in reproductive technology and advocates for the protection and expansion of reproductive rights. Research shows that closures of Planned Parenthood clinics lead to increases in maternal mortality rates.
