The event was a 10. My recovery plan is a 10.

Left the house at 8am.
Got home at 2am.
Worked outside all day, Mother Nature actually showed up for me, and for the first time ever my husband and kids came too. They usually skip the far ones that run late so getting to experience it WITH them hit different.

I made this little recap today because I had the energy for it. The photos, the other clips, the longer edit?

Tomorrow’s task. Today this mama is doing absolutely nothing and I refuse to feel bad about it.

The work will be there.

Friday night. Kids asleep. Netflix on. Husband next to me.

And I was mentally drafting a caption I wasn’t posting until Monday.

He paused the show and asked if I was even there.
I wasn’t.

Not because I’m bad at switching off. Because my business didn’t have a closing time and my brain was still on the clock even when I wasn’t.

My kid just passed out under the table.

I’m not moving him.

The sunroom has crumbs on every surface, toys covering the floor, and honestly I stopped counting after the third juice cup.

I’m also not cleaning that up.

Because in about 20 minutes they’re going to be awake and hungry and it’s all going to look exactly like this again. So what’s the point.

This is actually a normal Monday for me. Two toddlers, one part-time preschool schedule, and a full client workload happening somewhere in between the snacks and the chaos.

And nothing is falling through the cracks.

Not because I’m superhuman. But because my day is already built for this. The incidentals have a spot. The important stuff still gets done. My business doesn’t need me to have a calm, clean, quiet house to keep moving.

That took me a while to build. But that’s the whole point of having the right setup.

Systems aren’t for perfect days.
