✨ Meet the newest members of the Path team!
We’re excited to welcome new colleagues who bring expertise in inclusive education, systems change, collaboration, and supporting school communities.
As we begin a new school year, our team is looking forward to partnering with educators, school leaders, families, and students to create classrooms where students feel a sense of belonging, adults feel supported, and inclusive practices can grow.
Welcome to the team! 💜 Casey Scott and Sofia Roman ( NYU) Tenelle Sanchez ( NYCPS)

Inclusion can be tough and showing a little love to your staff goes a lonnngggg way. Here is Path Principal Silfen from PS 146 in District 4 intentionally starting the year by recognizing all of the ways her staff shows up for kids.

Connection with students sets the foundation ( asking about a pet, noticing a hair cut, expressing that you are happy to see a student , etc.) Kids seek connection not perfection in the adults around them.
Shake off the temptation to be perfect and make a plan to connect this week.

Chancellor Kamar Samuels shares the exciting news that our Path parents are recognizing the meaningful support that our trauma-informed educators provide to their children every day. With the recent Pre-K expansion, even more students and families will benefit from this compassionate, relationship-centered approach. Together, we’re creating stronger foundations for lifelong learning and success.
BREAKING NEWS!! The Path program is expanding to preschoolers, bringing specialized education to our youngest learners! This is a big step forward in ensuring that children will receive enough support to build confidence, strengthen their skills, and thrive in the early stages of their development!
Another school year in the books. ✨
Thank you for your care, compassion, and dedication every day. Wishing you all a summer filled with rest, reflection, and renewal. See you next year! ☀️💙
