East Harlem Tutorial Program

Full circle moment! 🎓✨

Yesterday, CEO Marina Cofield & COO Ingrid Sotelo welcomed Council Member Dr Yusef Salaam to East Harlem Scholars Academy High School for a campus tour.

This visit was especially inspiring for our scholars and staff because Council Member Salaam is an EHTP alumnus who embodies our mission of preparing young people to become leaders in their communities.

EHTP thanks New York City Council Member Salaam for his support and commitment to the young people of East Harlem. We're proud to call you one of our own and look forward to our continued partnership!

Back to School Night at East Harlem Scholars Academy was all about building strong connections between parents and teachers! 💙

Families had the opportunity to meet, connect, and partner together in support of our scholars’ success. 📚✨

East Harlem Scholars Academies' progress in ELA over the last 2 years is outpacing traditional public schools by 6 points! Keep up the great work, scholars.

Our Scholars have improved math scores by 20% over the last 2 years!!

Ecstatic to see our students reaching new heights! 🚀📚 Science proficiency has skyrocketed 31 points in just two years! 🎉 Keep up the fantastic progress East Harlem Scholars!

Active learning was in full swing on Day 4 at East Harlem Scholars Academies (PK–7th)! 📚✨ Our scholars continue to dive straight into hands-on discovery and teamwork.

Interactive learning does more than deliver facts—it builds critical thinkers, boosts retention, and sparks a lifelong joy for learning. Our classrooms were buzzing with curiosity, connection, and energy all day long! 💙

First day of school is here at East Harlem Scholars Academy!

Our scholars are ready to learn, grow, and take on new challenges, while our teachers are ready to inspire, guide, and teach. We know the days ahead will be busy, but we’re looking forward to a successful year filled with learning, growth, and plenty of accomplishments.

A special shoutout to all of our families who helped their scholars prepare for this exciting day! We’re so grateful for your partnership and support! Here’s to an amazing school year! 💙

Our enrollment team was proud to represent our organization at Tuesday’s annual National Night Out, hosted by the 23rd Precinct. The event served as a wonderful showcase of the diverse resources, schools, and programs available across our community. 💙

Throughout the afternoon, our staff connected with prospective families to outline our educational programs and distribute resources, while engaging younger attendees with interactive activities and prizes. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and to the 23rd Precinct for leading a successful event.

Investing in the future, one equation at a time. 📐

Some of our dedicated scholars are spending part of their summer defying the statistics! Research shows that summer math loss causes the average student to lose 25–34% of their school-year progress. We are incredibly proud of their focus, hard work, and enthusiasm as they sharpen their math skills and prepare to hit the ground running this fall.

Keep up the amazing work, scholars! ✨

In preparation for our upcoming School Supply Drive, we have launched an Amazon Wishlist to provide our scholars with essential learning supplies for the upcoming school year.

We welcome your support in making this initiative a success. Contributions of any size, as well as sharing the wishlist with your network and organization, will make a meaningful impact in ensuring our students have the tools they need to thrive.
