This Memorial Day weekend, we honor NRHS alumnus Lou Jones III, Class of 1950. An Olympic Gold Medalist, U.S. Army veteran, and one of New Rochelle High School’s most accomplished athletes. As we celebrate 100 years at Clove Road, we remember alumni whose leadership and service continue to inspire generations of Huguenots. Thank you to all who have served. 🇺🇸

Congratulations to the New Rochelle High School Orchestra on earning a Gold with Distinction at NYSSMA Majors! 🎻 Performing Level 6 literature, the highest and most advanced classification in NYSSMA, requires exceptional musical skill, precision, artistry, and dedication. Earning Gold with Distinction at this level is an extraordinary achievement and reflects the dedication of the students, directors, teachers, and families who support music education in New Rochelle. With all of the appreciation celebrations this May, somehow we missed recognizing Dr. Artiles on National Principal’s Day and we definitely don’t want that to go unsaid. As we count down to New Rochelle High School’s 100th graduating class this June, we’re spotlighting distinguished alumni from some of New Ro’s earliest graduating classes all the way to the Class of 2026. 💜 Today we’re featuring James Gregory, Class of 1930, who went on to have a legendary career across Broadway, film, and television.

Last week, the NRHS PTSA celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week with a small lunch for the teachers and staff at New Rochelle High School and Huguenot Academy. Just a small way to say thank you for everything you do for our students and school community each day.
