Dear Rose Garden Families,
It is with a full heart and much reflection that I share some important news with you. After 35 wonderful years in early childhood education, I have made the very difficult decision to retire and to sell Rose Garden Learning Academy, effective Tuesday January 27. I'm doing my best to talk to each of you individually, but I have not been able to reach all of you and want to give you as much notice as contractually I am able.
Serving children and families has been more than a career to me—it has been a calling, a joy, and one of the greatest blessings of my life. Watching your children grow, learn, and flourish has meant more to me than words can express. I am incredibly grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the opportunity to be part of so many families’ lives over the years.
I am confident that Rose Garden is in excellent hands moving forward. The new owner, Mr. Javed Khan, shares a strong commitment to quality early childhood education, and I truly believe he will do a wonderful job continuing the values and care that make Rose Garden so special. The new name of the school will be Creative Early Learning Academy.
In addition, I am pleased to share that Ms. Tristanna will be stepping into the role of Director. She has proven herself to be more than capable on a daily basis, and her dedication, leadership, and genuine care for the children and families make her the perfect fit for this role.
While this decision did not come easily, I know in my heart that it is the right time. Although I will miss each of you terribly, I am looking forward to spending time traveling, relaxing, and making memories with my family as I begin this new chapter.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your children’s early years and for making Rose Garden feel like an extended family. I will forever cherish the memories we have made together.
May God bless each and every one of you.
With heartfelt gratitude and love,
Michele Turner

✨ The Importance of Consistency Between Home and School ✨
Children thrive when the messages, routines, and expectations at home and school, work together. Consistency helps them feel safe, supported, and confident as they explore, learn, and grow. 💛
🏠 Reinforcing Routines
When morning, mealtime, and bedtime routines are similar at home and school, children know what to expect and can transition smoothly between environments.
💬 Clear Expectations
Consistent rules and guidance across home and school teach children boundaries, responsibility, and self-regulation.
🤝 Stronger Relationships
Working together as partners, families and teachers help children feel understood, supported, and motivated to try new things. That is why our staff utilizes our communication apps to keep parents up to date with children.
🌱 Boosts Confidence & Learning
Children who experience consistency in both environments are more likely to develop independence, problem-solving skills, and a love of learning.
At Rose Garden, we value communication and collaboration with families because when home and school are on the same page, children thrive! 🌟

✨ Routine in the Classroom & Daily Flow ✨
At Rose Garden Learning Academy, routines aren’t just about schedules they are the heart of learning and security. A consistent daily flow helps children feel safe, confident, and ready to explore the world around them.
🕰 Predictable Structure
Children thrive when they know what comes next. Regular times for arrival, meals, play, learning, and rest help reduce anxiety and build trust. A visual schedule helps children see what to expect next.
🎨 Balance of Learning & Play
Our daily flow includes a mix of activities: circle time, centers, outdoor play, creative expression, and quiet moments so children stay engaged and energized.
💬 Supporting Independence
Routines give children the confidence to participate, make choices, and practice new skills. Simple transitions like cleaning up or washing hands teach responsibility and self-regulation.
🌱 A Foundation for Growth
Structured routines help children develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills that last a lifetime all while feeling safe and nurtured in the classroom.
Rose Garden staff carefully design each day so your child can learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive and predictable environment. Check out our VPK A Classroom schedule!🌟

It’s National Sticker Day!
Stickers are more than just cute around here, they help with transitions, encourage positive behavior, celebrate big and small wins, and make learning extra fun every day! For example, our magical Sticker Fairy makes a special visit to help our kiddos transition into nap time with smiles, sparkles, and of course, stickers!🧚♀️💫
Who knew something so little could make such a BIG difference?
Happy National Sticker Day! 🎉

✨ Why Routines Help Children Feel Safe and Confident ✨
Children thrive when they know what to expect. Daily routines provide a sense of structure that helps young minds feel safe, secure, and confident as they explore the world around them.
🧠 Routines build emotional safety
When children can predict what comes next like meals, playtime, rest, and transitions, it reduces anxiety and helps them feel in control of their environment.
💛 Consistency builds confidence
Knowing the routine empowers children to participate independently. Simple things like washing hands before meals or cleaning up after play help build self-esteem and pride in their abilities.
⏰ Routines support learning and behavior
Structured days help children understand expectations, improve focus, and develop self-regulation skills which are important foundations for school and life.
🌱 Routines create trust
When adults consistently follow routines, children learn they can trust the people caring for them. That trust allows them to feel brave enough to try new things, make friends, and grow.
At Rose Garden, we intentionally follow daily routines to support your child’s emotional well-being, confidence, and development because feeling safe is the first step to learning and thriving. 💕

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Jazmin! 🎂🎉
Today we are celebrating one of our very own, our wonderful One year old teacher, Mrs. Jazmin! 💖She is always the first to jump into action wherever she’s needed, from cuddling our tiniest infants, handling our busy and energetic toddlers, to lending a helping hand with our big kids! Mrs. Jazmin’s smile lights up our classrooms, and she treats every child in our care with so much love, patience, and compassion, truly as if they were her own. You can ask anyone, she truly has a heart of gold. Her dedication, kindness, and heart for children do not go unnoticed, and we are beyond grateful for everything she brings to our center.

Wishing you a birthday as special and amazing as you are! 💕🎈
✨ Behind the Scenes During Holiday Breaks ✨
Even though our little learners are on holiday break and classroom numbers are lower, our amazing staff stays busy making sure everything is sparkling and ready for your children!
🧹 Deep Cleaning & Sanitizing
Every classroom, toy, and surface gets extra attention to create a safe, healthy environment.
🎨 Organizing & Preparing
Our teachers use this time to refresh learning spaces and set up new activities for when children return. Getting extra time to work hard on lesson planning, and prepping the fun activities you see posted all over our communication apps (like our toddlers fun snowman activity using cotton balls, or our preschoolers oatmeal play-doh project)
📚 Planning Ahead
Thoughtful preparation ensures a smooth transition back to routine and learning.
We love using this quieter time to give classrooms extra TLC so your children can come back to a safe, fun, and welcoming space! 🌟

✨ Helping Children Transition After Long Breaks ✨
Returning to school or even preschool after a long break like winter holidays can be exciting but also a little challenging for children. Here’s how routines and support can make the transition smooth and confident:
🕰 Reestablish routines
Children feel secure when they know what to expect. Gradually returning to bedtime, wake-up times, and meal schedules before school starts can make the first days easier.
💬 Talk about what’s coming
Discuss the day ahead, what activities they’ll do, and friends they’ll see. Knowing the plan helps children feel prepared and reduces anxiety.
🤝 Offer reassurance and patience
Some children may cling or act out as they readjust. Gentle reassurance and consistent routines help them regain confidence quickly.
🎨 Ease into learning and play
Start with familiar activities and gradually introduce new tasks. Small successes build confidence and motivation to engage fully.
At Rose Garden, we support every child during transitions with patience, predictable routines, and encouragement because a smooth start sets the tone for a successful and wonderful day! 💕

Owner and Director
A little bit about myself....
My name is Michele Turner and I am the owner and director of Rose Garden Learning Academy. I currently reside in Tampa but, was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. Child care has been part of my life ever since high school graduation. I started to work as an assistant teacher for a privately -owned daycare center. In the next 26 years, as the day care center grew, I slowly worked my way up the ladder from being the assistant teacher, to lead teacher, director and then finally district manager where I helped manage 10 schools, over 100 employees and hundreds of children. After I left Illinois, I moved to Florida and became the assistant director of an accredited preschool in Tampa.
Here we are now 28 years later and my dream has come true. I am honored to be the owner of Rose Garden Learning Academy and hope to be able to inspire all of the little minds that come through my door. I know that they will each touch my heart as every other child in my child care journey has so far.
