such a sweet family...they brought the shepherd in for an end-of-life session, but they never dreamed they would lose the dobie first. I am honored to capture the memories for them. 💜

End-of-life pet portraits are some of the hardest sessions I will ever photograph because I love deeply, and I feel everything. There is no easy way to capture the beauty of a goodbye when the bond between a person and their beloved pet runs so deep.

But I also know, from personal experience, that when the time comes and all you have left are the memories, those photographs become more than pictures. They become pieces of a love that never truly leaves.

The gift of preserving those final moments—the familiar eyes, the gentle touch, the quiet connection—is one of the greatest gifts you can give someone. Because one day, when the pain of losing them is still there but the memories begin to fade, those images will bring them back for just a moment.

And that is why, even when my heart breaks with you, I am honored to be there.
