Parker Performance

It is with a broken heart that I announce the formal closure of Parker Performance.

I have had to make the very difficult decision to close the business that we have come to know and love. This is a decision that has been in the works the past year or so, as I did my very best to try and navigate the trials and tribulations without negatively impacting too many others. Unfortunately, I have failed at that, too. Even though I did my best, and made the best decisions I could at any given moment with the data/info I had at that specific moment. It simply was not enough. Or it was too little, too late. Or it was both. Either way.

As of this time, I am uncertain of the future. So please refrain from inquiring as to such. I'm uncertain if I'll be able to maintain some sort of reduced operation, or side work type operation. As the closure of the business will necessitate the immediate job hunting for myself to start earning an income for my family (which I have not earned since the beginning of Parker Performance, sadly). As the closure of the business will result in my need to personally take on the financial responsibilities and obligations left behind by the business.

I'm very fortunate to have had so much support, love, business, etc. from so many people, vendors, customers, friends. I am fortunate to say that I was able to chase my childhood dreams, and turn them into a reality. Even if only for a short duration. Some people never take the plunge and get to experience their dreams in real life. So I can at least say I did that. I worked 70, 80, 90, 100 hours in a week, and while my body physically felt that workload - I never felt like, "dammit, I have to go work!" I truly was living my dream! So thank you!

I came into this as an enthusiast who just wanted to help other enthusiasts reach their dreams with their cars, and provide a safe, honest place to do that. I'm leaving having learned more about myself, humans, relationships, business, and failure than I care to admit. Yet, I'm leaving still as an enthusiast. So hopefully I can finally spend some time on my own car now, and be able to get out w/my family to enjoy events from time to time (also haven't been able to do much of that since the early days, either).

I'm so grateful for our vendor partners, my guys, my team (both past and current), my friends, my family, my wife, my mother. I couldn't have done any of this without each and every one of you. Some I owe greatly more than others. They know who they are! And to anyone that has held a part of this journey - thank you, from the bottom of my breaking heart!

I do not desire to burrow away into darkness, even though my current state of depression says otherwise. And I do desire to remain a valuable resource for those of you who still need one. I could ramble on for days, hours, weeks as to my mistakes, my failures, my successes, my overcoming of this adversity, yet falling to this other one.... to thanking so many different people for so many different things. Yet, I want to wrap this up so that I can begin the path of recovery.

So far, so good!

Had to pull down some of the exterior marketing banners this morning, as they were battered, tattered, and some were completely ruined. Popped a pretty large leak in the roof over the back of the shop by our fridge and my toolbox (was there before, but much smaller). Other than that, all property, all cars, everything on site is good to go!

Where's our Kenne Bell Superchargers Coyote guys? I know there's not a ton of them out there, but we've been working on a little project for the KB guys with our friends and vendor partners over at ZPE/GripTec! This is a hub and ring pulley setup that will allow you to change your outer ring size to your boost needs with ease! KB only offered a couple pulley sizes and this will allow you to exceed their offerings! Looking forward to dyno testing later this week!

What's up world?! It's your boy JP here! Sick as a dawwwg, yet doing my best to get some work in today.

We're gonna be blowing out all our remaining inventory from the shop here in an attempt to raise capital to keep the business afloat. So please stay tuned to the page for details of that over the coming days!

If you've not heard, we're working through an almost guaranteed closure due to my personal failures in business ownership, finances and mismanagement of said finances. This is nobody's fault but my own, and I've done what I've believed to be the best I could, in any given moment, with each specific situation. While those decisions may have been okay or right in the moment, some of the gambles simply did not pan out in my favor, as I would have hoped.

For those not local to us and not in the know: we'd started trying to course correct back in 2022. I brought in an awesome internal bookkeeper to help get ahold of my failures in the financials. We hired a business coach. We did not stand idly by and just let the s**t hit the fan. We took action every single day. Ultimately, we made some amazing and impactful changes, all resulting in our ability to continue grinding daily and continue bringing you guys the best value, service, installations. Unfortunately, the financial anchor that I'd built was simply too far out and too heavy to pull in, no matter how fast we pulled, no matter how hard. I can assure you it's not for lack of effort or lack of desire.

This ultimately led to our having to part ways with our amazing team members, in an effort to reduce overhead and attempt to save the ship from sinking. As I've continued to do my best to overcome adversity, to create solutions, I'm just to a point where I'm out of gas on the road to recovery. The money tree in my backyard is out of limbs, plucked clean!

So please help us in the sale of our remaining new & used inventory items, so we can continue doing our best to stay in the game for you, and ourselves!

I figured I'd start with these Ecobeast Billet battery tie-downs, as these were the initial catalyst to what later became Parker Performance, as you now know it.

If you don't know, Ecobeast Billet was the brain child of one of my life long friends, Doug Mills, and I, to create a side hustle for both of us to make a little extra coin here and there, doing something we both love. That ultimately became Parker Performance, and just about every Parker Performance product that we've built or fabricated under the PP brand has all been done with him! From our Convertible Exhaust Spacers to our IMRC Lockouts, and of course all of our Ecobeast Billet offerings. Doug is just one of many people that I'll be letting down with the closure of this business.
