Seed and Read Free Share Library
We offer small packets of a selection of free seeds, along with a modest number of books, to share with our friends and neighbors. No fees. No due dates.
Here, at The Glitter Dome, we like to do a number of interesting things, most of which help to make our neighborhood and little corner of the world a better place to be. Inspired by my own love of reading, along with the fact that our work as a charitable organization, as Hands of the Goddess, has brought us a large number of books to be able to provide freely to others, we finally decided to move ahead with the idea of a free lending library when the zipper on my greenhouse broke. And then a friend generously offered another, smaller greenhouse for us to use as well, so now we had one for adult books and one just for kids! One look at our home, The Glitter Dome, should provide a clue or two that we are serious about reducing, reusing, and recycling. And so was our library born. Not satisfied to simply stick a bunch of books in a greenhouse, we have done some work to help create an interesting little nook which we hope our friends and neighbors will enjoy. And, because we grow food – not lawn – we have a modest garden, the fruits (and vegetables!) of which we enjoy sharing. So, too, do we have an interesting stock of seeds which we are eager to share with those interested in growing their own fresh food items. There will, undoubtedly, be a few surprises along the way which we hope you will enjoy. We ask you to be considerate of others by only taking a few seed packets and making sure everything is tidy when you leave. Please help us to keep our “Seed and Reed” Free Share Library a pleasant place to visit. Thank you.

Foreshadowed:
When Keira returns to Sach’home after a three-year absence in another realm to retrieve the talisman Vembron left for her, a young woman falls through the portal through which she arrived, preventing her from returning to what she refers to as “the past.” Fallon, though, a trusted servant of Queen Evon, is able to travel through time to follow the young woman to a destination that is not, after all, the past, yet looks eerily like Sach’home and is populated by people who are different versions of many of the people she knows – from alternative times and realms. The young lady, Bracel, she discovers, is the granddaughter of Wizard Ametz; she is determined to destroy the talismans in order to eliminate her grandfather’s influence over her every thought and action.
Nor is Bracel the only one who has decided she must destroy the talismans. Five of the original elders who attempted to strip Kian of his magic more than three hundred years ago are certain that if they can destroy the rubies, they will return time itself to the day they made their mistake so that they may resume their lives uninterrupted. Two of these five have been eliminated, but the remaining three have the ability to possess and control anyone with whom they come in contact. One is in Sach’home, one is in Ballantrae, and one is in the realm from which Keira returned. All are perfectly poised to ensure their success in making sure the talismans are destroyed instead of being used by Shaun to complete the prophecy.
Having been warned by Tobin, another elder, that he must allow Sach’home to be consumed by the returning energy wave of Kian’s magic, Shaun is making his way to the castle in Sach’home, unaware he is being hunted.

The Third Talisman:
As the Keeper of the Prophecy, Shaun has learned he, and only he, is responsible for wielding the two ruby talismans created for the specific task of reuniting the two realms of Ballantrae and Sach’home.
The two realms were accidentally separated hundreds of years ago when a council in Ballantrae attempted to strip the magic from a powerful, malevolent man by the name of Kian.
Having obtained the first ruby talisman from a woman long-thought to be dead, his next task is to find the second talisman – last seen in Sach’home. Before he can take one step towards his objective, though, he is swept away by a powerful blast of energy to another realm altogether – without Seth.
As he is dragged from one realm after another by forces he doesn’t understand, he learns there are many realms, instead of just two, all of which are being consumed, instead of reunited, as the prophecy races to its conclusion.
Nor is Shaun the only one seeking the second, lost, talisman. Queen Evon and Wizard Ametz each seek the same prize, for very different purposes. As does Kian, who has now been restored to himself through deceit and betrayal – and the destruction of the third talisman.
Shaun learns how to bring forth his own, long-denied magic even as he learns of the purposeful lies told throughout the generations to protect the talismans. But will it be enough – will he be enough – to wield the powerful talismans as the prophecy draws to its inevitable end?

Giya’s Betrayal
Song of the Earth
Dark Note
Dark Note:
When the world the Sun God, Sov, made was first created, Lumas, the Goddess of Beauty, created a kind of portal to other worlds, realms, and times without his knowledge. She, after all, was a celestial being, regardless of her fascination with Sov or his delightful world, able to move through space and time.
She created this small space both within the parameters of the planet’s physical space, and separate from it – outside of time – so that the people who populated Sov’s world would never meet, nor interact with, the beings who came to visit her. And so did Jikangai, for the most part, remain a secret for centuries.
The Goddess of Beauty should have known, perhaps, that once she imprisoned Deiserin, the first empress of Bila, in this space that was outside of time, that sooner or later, this secret place would be exposed. Perhaps she had even created the space not so much for visitors, but as a prison for Giya, the Earth Goddess, whom she made from herself, so that she could undo her again if ever she wished to.
Regardless of her intention, the boundary separating Jikangai from the rest of the world came down when those loyal to Giya came searching for her. When those courageous few discovered the secret to eliminating the boundary, time exploded all around Jikangai, capturing Zemer within its blast. Having been thrown back in time by Giya, he was dragged painfully forward during the explosion in response to the powerful blood bond he shared with his suddenly-freed wife, Deiserin.
Because Zemer was caught in the crossfire between the two formidable magical forces, he became the embodiment of chaos: the Dark Note within the Song of the Earth. Not understanding what has happened to him, Zemer chases a shadowy version of himself through a portal into another realm, setting off the process that, ultimately, gives him the power to destroy the universe.

Song of the Earth
Dark Note
Song of the Earth:
A very long time ago, Lumas, the Goddess of Beauty, tricked Deiserin, the first Empress of Bila, into taking the life of her firstborn son. In retaliation, the empress stole three children to raise as her own. Near the end of Deiserin’s life, Lumas returned, turning the empress into a tortoise, then left her in a place outside of time: Jikangai. Deiserin was doomed to walk the perimeter of her prison for all eternity. And there she may very well have remained, except that Giya, the Earth Goddess, came seeking refuge.
Exhausted beyond measure after the defeat of the Sun God, and Lumas’ departure, Giya seeks out privacy and rest where none might disturb her. Ozahm, the Lord of Death, however, has other plans. Disgusted by the Earth Goddess’ meddling in human affairs, he has trapped her within the boundaries of Jikangai. Because Giya is the planet and the planet is her, the repercussions to the soil and seas are being felt by those who are sensitive to such things.
As the recognized heir to Amphedia, the Goddess of the Seas, the power to control the seas should have been transferred to Jarles when she left the planet to battle her brother, Sov, the Sun God. Instead, Giya retained those powers; trapped in Jikangai, she has little hope of being able to save the seas or the planet from her own demise as the Lord of Death uses the power of the last Fire Tender to drain her of life.
Noticing a strange growth pattern in the planet below her – as if entire swaths of forest are growing and being destroyed within days – the new Sun Goddess, Denit, investigates, only to find herself trapped in Jikangai with her mother, Giya.
Recognizing the imminent death of the Earth Goddess, the Song of the Earth, in an unprecedented move, dispatches a long-dead Singer to seek out those who may have the ability to release the barrier surrounding Jikangai – a barrier through which only gods may enter and only those who are dead may leave.

Giya’s Betrayal:
An ancient magic is loosed when a long-forgotten chant used in a ritual for children is passed from a dying woman to Ordan, one of the mezhdu from Midbar. Mezhdu are those whose spirits are born into the bodies of the wrong gender and often find they are linked telepathically; each possess a special gift so they may help in providing balance and stability to their communities.
When Ordan is near death because of an accident, Batal uses her Tear of Amphedia in an attempt to heal him. Because he is bonded with the others, the message of the ancient magic is broadcast quickly throughout the various lands, leaving a wave of unexpected changes, and death, in its wake.
The Earth Goddess, Giya, is furious when she discovers she has been shadowed throughout her entire existence by gods Lumas once brought to her world for the very purpose of keeping Giya safe. But even they cannot halt the inevitable demise of Sov, the Sun God, as he begins his transformation into his natural state as a Firebird to fend off Amphedia’s attack. Denit, too, is vulnerable to her father’s pleas to allow him to be the one to rise again as the Sun Child.
Nor has Siri Ventus, the Goddess of Air, been idle. For the first time in centuries, she speaks her twin brother’s name aloud, causing him to race to her side. He wants desperately for her to leave with him, no matter if Sov lives or dies. Until he learns the secret of his nightmare visions.
