Shout out to Blue Line Landscapers for helping us tackle this landscaping project. W**ds were getting the best of me and we needed something easier to maintain for our family.

Todd helped us remove 24k of rocks, edging and landscaping. We laid down 17 yards of dirt to even the yard and give us better drainage and usage of back yard. We updated nearly all sprinkler heads and laid more pipe for better usage of water.

We laid 9 pallets of St Augustine making the yard look incredible. No more daily w**d picking and we actually have a back yard to play games.

Pre-emergent herbicides, or w**d preventers, control crabgrass and other w**ds by stopping their seeds from germinating. An application early in the growing season works wonders; it's like vaccinating your lawn against w**ds.

The right time: Apply preventer when forsythia blooms drop.

Why timing matters: W**d preventers are not effective against w**ds that have already begun to grow, so you must apply them before germination to gain any benefit. Crabgrass, the primary target of lawn w**d preventers, normally germinates just after forsythia blooms, so take your cue from Mother Nature. When you notice forsythia bushes dropping their blossoms (March to May, depending on your region), apply w**d preventer, and water as soon as possible to activate it.
