P.S. I was still healing front a knee injury. He was mad I was "not doing enough. I was being dramatic and lazy..." Then also got mad because I wouldn't use the wheelchair that made him look like a hero when I, eventually was able to walk three months later. The confusion was intense.

I never knew what it would feel like to live with a narcissist. Now that I knows, first, I need to apologize for not being an ally. I had no idea. I only thought people were just being mean in relationships and not caring. Living with a narcissist is a death by a million cuts that you were groomed to ignore since the time you were born into a narcissist parental home. It's deep rooted and by the time you meet the real narcissist, you are, hopefully prepared to know how to escape like I did...

You don’t debate abuse with an enabler because they are not seeking truth — they are protecting comfort, access, or their own identity. Enablers call survivors “liars” not because the abuse didn’t happen, but because accepting the truth would require them to: • confront who they support • acknowledge harm they ignored • take accountability for their silence or for making things harder for the survivor. Arguing gives them what they want: distraction, doubt, and emotional labor from the survivor. Their goal isn’t resolution — it’s discrediting you so they don’t have to change. Silence, boundaries, and walking away are not weakness. They are evidence that you understand the dynamic and refuse to participate in it.
