Something new is going up for RICHEY fm: our antenna installation is coming soon. We’re getting ready to bring West Pasco more of its own local voice.
For now, we’re streaming online, not broadcasting over the air. You’ll hear us trying different music and fine-tuning the sound as we get ready. Give us a listen, then tell us in the comments what you like and what you’d change.

We’ve been quiet for a reason.
RICHEY fm has been pretty quiet over the past several weeks, but behind the scenes, we’ve been busier than ever.
We’ve been rebuilding, expanding and preparing for the next chapter of RICHEY fm.
Our new transmitter facility is coming very soon and will significantly expand our reach throughout West Pasco and into Central Pasco, northern Pinellas and northern Hillsborough.
We also have new studios, new programming and some exciting new ways for RICHEY fm to be out in the community coming soon.
There’s a lot more happening that we’re not quite ready to announce yet.
We haven’t disappeared. We’ve been building.

They were on the tower today getting it ready for installing our new antenna we're temporarily off the air as we had that storm from last week cause major damage to our transmitter and are antenna you can still stream us right now anywhere in the world by downloading the Richie FM app on Apple and Android we back on the air with a much larger signal keep checking in we'll keep everyone updated

GOT OUR TEMPORARY TRANSMITTER GOING DOING FINAL ADJUSTMENTS!!! THAT STORM AND POWER OUTAGE WILL NOT BE AN ISSUE AT THE NEW SITE!

It's a whole new era for Richey fm ! We're in the process of moving everything over to our new transmitter site which will let us cover over 200,000 people in the community it's a bit of a long process because we have to get engineering and permits and there is a slight delay with that we also had some other things happen over the weekend after that big storm came through we had some damage to our transmission facilities that we have currently everything should be back on later today there was no power and some items God damaged we will be replacing them today we had to wait for the product to be available this morning. However, there is good news our new facility we'll have redundancy a second transmitter emergency power even a satellite link if the cable should go out. Most commercial FM stations don't even have that will be building out our facilities to stay on the air even if a hurricane hits us directly. We're still streaming will be adding a lot more music and some other surprises but also keep updating the page but right now we don't have many volunteers and we're all spread then trying to launch the station once that happens things will be bigger and better than ever more music more opportunities to help fulfill our mission of education job creation and promotion of the community at Large please be patient and we will keep you updated

Just wanted to give you guys an update I have been very lax on posting anything on social media in the past week. The reasons are we're working towards the final engineering for our new transmitter and tower, and is a priority at this point. And one of our great volunteers, Linda, has had to take some time off to help others. I had to deal with something that was not covid-19 but very covid-like. But that's the way things go when you're starting a community radio station.
Will be scheduling staff meeting in the next week or so and assigning duties so we have backup so that if Linda or myself are not available the show can go on. If you're interested in being a volunteer, drop me a line at [email protected] we have plenty of things to do, and it's pretty easy to find something that is of interest to you, and a great way to meet people and be part of the community
