Here at BNG we like to use “The Drip Method” so that our teachings become a working part of the mind.

At first, it feels repetitive. But every drop is renewing our thinking a little more. Eventually, what was once information becomes conviction, conviction becomes action, and action becomes a new way of living ❤️

Steps 4 through 7 are God’s heart-cleaning process.

In Step 4, we search our hearts. In Step 5, we bring what we find into the light. In Steps 6 and 7, we become willing to let God remove the things that block us from Him.

A pure heart isn’t a perfect heart—it’s an honest heart. The more God removes resentment, fear, selfishness, and pride, the more clearly we begin to see Him working in our lives.

The promise of Matthew 5:8 is simple: when God cleans our hearts, we see Him more clearly.

A lot of us hear the word meek and think it means weak, passive, or afraid to stand up for ourselves. But real meekness is strength under control.

It’s choosing not to react out of anger when you could. It’s staying teachable when your pride wants to take over. It’s trusting God enough to let Him fight battles you would have handled differently before.

Meekness isn’t weakness. It’s power that has been surrendered to God.

In addiction, we spend so much time fighting reality—fighting consequences, fighting feelings, fighting the truth.

Recovery begins when we stop fighting and start accepting.

Acceptance doesn’t mean we approve of what happened. It means we acknowledge what is, so we can move forward. When I accept my addiction, my past, my circumstances, and the things I cannot change, I become free to focus on what I can change.

As the Big Book says, “Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today.”
