We were honored to participate in Leadership Pasco’s annual Government Day again this year featuring federal, state and local officials. Chief Deputy Brendan Fitterer, who is also a member of Leadership Pasco's Class of 2026, joined the Constitutional Officers Panel to share about how our office assesses and qualifies exemptions for Pasco County's 335,000 parcels.

Homestead Exemption can save you💰 – Don’t lose it!
1️⃣ Do not RENT your home for more than 30 days in two consecutive years.
2️⃣ BUY or SELL your home? You’ll need to reapply!
3️⃣ Claim homestead ELSEWHERE? Your homestead must be your permanent residence. You cannot have a residency-based exemption in another state also!
4️⃣Don't change your residency qualifiers! An out-of-state Driver's License or Voter ID can disqualify you!
