Our garden has seen yet another round of flowers with all this rain! The polinators have returned!

Our "pickling" cukes decided to be overachievers this season! All this rain has finally brought the full sun beds to life.

We went out of town for a week and came home to an explosion of growth over the trellis! We planted a cover crop here for the summer and didnt expect much of it but perhaps we will get some beans out of it yet!

A long weekend to spend with family and friends is always wonderful! Produce in the garden is taking off, the Florida heat is setting in finally and the rain has returned to our little corner of the world.

I pray everyone gets at least a few minutes to remember what this time is for, the memory of fallen soldiers who died protecting the freedoms we so richly enjoy. Please remember those who gave their all to give us this weekend.

The last round of planting for this season is nearly done, another week or so and these babies will be ready for their permanent homes!

2 summers we have spent revising the entire farm! The garden, the house, and the chicken coop are all in various stages of construction. But, finally the new raised beds we use for edibles are in! This means production of preserves will resume this summer. You'll be able to follow us as we show small scale homesteading from seed to table, including household management. Our goal is to help you reduce waste, promote a self sufficient lifestyle, and keep food bills down.

The kids have decided to decorate this bed with their version of "The Hungry Caterpillar", who needs a couple more coats of paint to be complete.

One Stop Shop will be hosting a Baby Safety Baby Shower for pregnant and/or new moms. Education on sleep safety, water safety, maternal health, and car seat safety will be provided. Vendors, resources, and raffled baby supplies will be available as well. Moms will need to register prior to the event.
