The Henry County Community Band is a group of people who simply enjoy making music together. Check with us for rehearsal dates. Come join us!

We meet on Tuesday evenings Holy Trinity Lutheran Church from 7 - 8:30. Established in 2009, we are a concert band organized to include anyone wishing to play a band instrument. A wide variety of musical styles and levels of difficulty is played. No auditions are required. Just bring your instrument and play.

It is with deepest sympathy and a heavy heart that the former Henry County Community Band announces the passing of director Rachel Eldridge. Rachel's passion for playing and sharing music with the community was undeniable. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and fellow musicians.

Unfortunately, the band has dissolved. If you have an interest in either listening to or participating in a fine community band, please consider either the Lapel Band or America's Hometown Band. Both have pages that will fill you in. Thank you for your support of the Henry County Community Band over the years.

On April 9th beginning at 2:30 pm at the HC/NC Library, the Henry County Community Band will present its Ninth Annual Spring Concert, “A Celebration of Love”. The awakening of the earth in Spring brings thoughts of love. Music like “The King and I”, “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, featuring vocalist Sydney Fleming, and “Moon River”, featuring soloist Richard Hawk on clarinet, are only a few of the numbers to be played. We are pleased to highlight the New Castle High School Saxophone Octet playing their award-winning piece, “Witch Hunt”. Also, New Castle High School junior, Ben Smith, will conduct the band playing “What the World Needs Now” and “Sugar, Sugar”. Admission is always free and open to all. For more information, contact Rachel Eldridge, musical director, at [email protected].
