📢 IMPORTANT NJ FAMILYCARE/MEDICAID UPDATE

JSAS HealthCare, Inc. wants our patients and community members to be aware of upcoming federal changes to NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid eligibility and renewal requirements.

Beginning October 1, 2026, some non-citizen immigrants may no longer qualify for NJ FamilyCare based on immigration status. Beginning January 1, 2027, certain adults ages 19–64 enrolled in the Alternative Benefit Plan (ABP) may have new community-engagement requirements, such as working, volunteering, or attending school. Some members will also need to renew their coverage every 6 months instead of every 12 months. These requirements do not apply to everyone, and exemptions may apply based on health, family circumstances, pregnancy, substance use/addiction, and other situations.

Protect your coverage: Watch your mail for information from NJ FamilyCare and do not ignore your renewal packet. Make sure NJ FamilyCare has your current mailing address, phone number, and email address. If you receive a request for information or documentation, respond by the deadline listed.
