Shop classes are very important for the future of both the building trades and the enforcement ranks. In addition to teaching hands-on skills, it also trains students to be both good problem-solvers and rule followers. Students are able to apply a lot of the STEAM skills that they learn in the traditional classroom in order to create physical products that blend art, math, and science into one.
I wonder if these would pass the requisite tests for building materials, per the IBC ... ideas anyone?

Before the storm, the press / public was asking of codes should be changed to consider storms. Me: they already do.
