L&R Rescue
L&R Rescue is a 501c3 non profit rescue located in Navarre,FL. L&R Rescue works to help those who are unable to help themselves. This is our mission.
Our goal is to help abandoned dogs find good, loving homes. Dogs who would otherwise most certainly be euthanized or subject to a life in extremely poor conditions, unloved and neglected. We team up with overcrowded shelters and financially deficit facilities to assist them in locating permanent, caring families, who will appreciate the unconditional love a rescued dog is able to give. We try very hard to keep the adoption process simple and match the right people with the right dogs.
Kenai is truly the nicest boy. He’s everyone’s best friend—the kind of dog who just wants to be near you and be part of whatever you’re doing. 💙
He makes friends with every single dog that comes through our rescue—and they all love him right back. He’s that easy, that good.
But somehow, he keeps getting left behind. He’s watched nearly all of his friends get adopted and go home… and he’s still here. Only Gus has been with us longer. 💔
We don’t understand it. Kenai is sweet, gentle, easygoing, and was absolutely perfect on his recent day out. He deserves so much more than being overlooked.
Please help us change his story. 🐾
Like, comment, or share to help Kenai get seen—his family might be just one post away. 🏡
Meet Betty 🐾
If you’ve ever wanted a built-in best friend (and full-time belly rub supervisor), Betty might be your girl.
This sweet 1-year-old Dachshund mix is basically a professional cuddler. The second she thinks pets are on the table, she’s rolling over to show off her tummy—no hesitation, no shame, just pure joy.
Betty is affectionate, gentle, and loves being close to her people. She’s also great with other dogs and would happily have a furry friend to play with… or snuggle up next to.
At just a year old, she has her whole life ahead of her—she just needs someone to share it with. Right now she’s waiting patiently, but we think she’d much rather be curled up on a couch, right where she belongs.
✨ Belly rub enthusiast
✨ Dog friendly
✨ Sweet, loving personality
✨ Ready for her forever home
Think Betty might be the one? ❤️ Apply to adopt today!
And if you can’t adopt, please like, comment, and share to help Betty find her way home 🏡

Some of you may have seen our post earlier about Smokey making his way to safety this morning… well, he’s already had his first photo shoot 📸
And honestly? You don’t have to be a talented photographer to make this boy look good. Isn’t he handsome!? 😍
Meet Smokey 🐾
This gorgeous guy is around 7 months old and was being transported to safety from the shelter—a pretty scary place—but he’s taking it all in stride. So far, he’s been sweet, friendly, cuddly, loves everyone he meets, and lights up around other dogs.
Has Smokey already stolen your heart? ❤️ Apply at www.lnrrescue.com
Or just like, comment, or share to help Smokey find his way home. 🏡
Ruby update 🐾
Not long ago, she came to us scared, skinny, and unsure of the world around her. Every noise, every movement—it was all a little too much.
Now? Totally different dog.
She’s out on full walks, chasing frisbees like a pro, and soaking up every bit of love she can get. Her foster says she wakes up happy and ready for the day—and honestly, it shows. She’s playful, affectionate, and just… thriving.
This is what rescue looks like.
Ruby has done the hard part—now she just needs a family to call her own.
Ready to meet her? Apply at www.lnrrescue.com ❤️

Meet Pugsy — a resilient little guy with the sweetest soul. At around 5–6 years old, he found his way to us after being left outside when his owner was arrested. For a pug, that kind of life is especially tough, but Pugsy is proof that love can turn things around.
When he arrived, he was dealing with a bad flea allergy and sore, sun-damaged eyes. With proper care, he’s already looking and feeling so much better — and he’s not done improving yet.
Pugsy is as loving as they come. He’s happiest right by your side, soaking up attention or snuggled in close on the couch.
All Pugsy wants now is what he’s always deserved — a safe place, a soft bed, and people who will love him for the rest of his life.
If you’re ready to give this little guy his happy ending, apply at www.Lnrrescue.com ❤️

Update for everyone following the dogs at Bay County Animal Control:
Last week, Bay County had a long list of dogs facing euthanasia. We were able to pull Laney and Penny last week, but there were still nine dogs remaining with a deadline of Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Because of this community—every like, comment, and share, every volunteer who stepped up to transport, and our incredible fosters who opened their homes—we were able to pull Jetta and Cooper as well. ❤️
As of now, all but TWO dogs have been pulled by rescues or adopted. Those final two have been granted an extension until Monday, June 15, 2026. 🙏
We are so close. Please keep sharing and advocating.
Comment to help Gus find his forever family. He’s been waiting for 153 days. 🏡💙🏡💙

Laney and Penny were both saved from euthanasia at the shelter—and now they’re safe, happy, and ready for their forever homes. ❤️
Laney is pure sunshine. At just a year old and around 45 pounds, she lives every day like it’s the best day ever. New people? Instant best friends. Other dogs? Let’s play. She’s always smiling, always wagging, and always ready for whatever comes next. The moment we met her, we knew we couldn’t let that kind of joy be extinguished.
Penny is our cuddle champion. She lives for belly rubs, kisses, and being as close to her people as possible—ideally in your lap. She loves fetch, gets excited for walks, rides great in the car, and is still working up the courage to jump into the pool. 😄
Both of these girls are full of love and personality, just waiting for their perfect families.
Aren’t they beautiful? If you think so, please let them know by liking this post and telling them so in the comments. Every like, comment, and share helps them get seen by more people—and that’s why we beg. We’re not trying to be influencers over here. 😂😬 We just want them to find their people.
🏡 Apply to adopt at www.Lnrrescue.com
Two more are on their way to safety! ❤️🙏
A huge thank you to Audra Quidgeon for stepping in (again) to help with transport—she does so much for these dogs, and we are incredibly grateful.
We truly cannot do this without all of you—every like, share, comment, and bit of support matters more than you know.
Stay tuned to learn more about them. 🐾
