Manhattan Junior Crew Rowing

MJC competed in the Head of Des Moines Regatta yesterday! With half of the crew being new to the team, the regatta was a great learning experience for many of our rowers. Despite a few boat malfunctions along the way, the team stayed together, persevered, and finished every race!

We’re proud of their hard work and determination and are looking forward to seeing them back on the water at the Head of the Oklahoma Regatta this coming weekend!

The MJC competition team is heading to their first fall regatta of the season! They will be competing at the Head of Des Moines this Saturday.

Today was trailer-loading day—and, of course, the rain decided to join us!

We’re so excited to see these rowers hit the water this weekend. Best of luck to the whole team! 💜💛

We are so excited for this so that our current rowers can connect with alumni!

Join us at the 63rd Alumni reunion on Oct. 24th as we celebrate another milestone in the history of KSRA!

MJC had an indoor practice yesterday due to extreme heat. This was a good opportunity for the new athletes to work on technique in a controlled setting while helping the more experienced rowers focus on setting a good race pace for the fall season. We have so many new rowers this fall and everyone is working hard!

Fall season has officially started! We had our first full week of practice last week and really enjoyed teaching our new rowers about the sport we love. We can’t wait to see what this season has in store for these athletes! 💜💛

We will be hosting our welcome back BBQ tonight at the boathouse! This is when we welcome anyone from 8th grade to a Senior Year High school to come talk to our current rowers, take a tour of the boathouse, and have some delicious food! We look forward to seeing you there tonight from 5-7 at Breidenthal Boathouse 7560 Spillway Marina Rd, Manhattan, KS!

Today was the last day of Summer Season 2026! This was an interesting season and kept us on our toes, but it was still so much fun. We will miss our seniors as they move on to college! We are taking a little break and then Fall season will be here before we know it!
