As temperatures rise, turtles are on the move and often crossing our roads. Please slow down and stay alert while driving. If you safely stop to help an uninjured turtle, move it in the direction it was facing.

If a turtle is injured, contact Dunstable Dispatch at 978-649-7445, or carefully transport it to a wildlife rehabilitator. Place the turtle in a dark, dry box with no food, no water, and no at-home treatment.

For additional help, visit the New England Turtle Rescue League website.
