Hi! Boy, do I have things to share. 🎉
🫶 Friendly reminder to focus on balance and wellness: Pete and I lived abroad with our family for the entire month of August 2023. If you ever have the opportunity to work remotely, I promise it to be a worthwhile adventure that’ll change your POV in so many ways. And, If you need an in with an incredible AirBnB in Denmark, DM me. From new playgrounds and museums to the culture and design, making this trip a reality continues to be something we celebrate every day, and I wish everyone can experience it on some level.
💻 Friendly reminder to say yes to new (overwhelming) opportunities: The professional celebration happened upon our return. Last fall, I was approached to launch , a new Pursuit channel for that highlights home improvement and DIY! It has been really fun to see it come to light, and truly one of the most exciting partnerships I’ve ever had. Timing couldn’t have been better, and I’m really happy to see how it grows over time. Please follow along — the team published 150 articles in two months, covering all kinds topics for home enthusiasts! So much more to come.
✌️ the end, many thanks for your support!
If you started a flower garden this year but didn’t take a single picture with the alliums, does it even count?

Most of our yard consists of this studly grass that has a wild root system and is as thick as twine. It turns brown every winter but sprawls like crazy this time of year. This is one of many chunks I pulled while weeding the garden. We transplanted it 🙂

Worried that something was wrong with these guys, but I’m pleased to report that the tomatillos have arrived. 🙂

Two of the four elephant garlics produced scapes in the inaugural year. Harvested those two this AM before the rain; they even had four little baby cloves attached 👏🏻 Does not appear to matter how early I trimmed the scape. One was trimmed early but the other I left to fully bloom, and they’re both similar in size.

The tomatillos will reach the top of their 7’ trellis by sunrise and I have no idea what to do about it. 🤷🏻♀️👩🏻🌾

Next year, we’ll just lay compost and see what grows from it. Today’s goals: redirect and stake these to give the underlying jalapeños a fighting chance at survival 🌶☀️
