t an event. This page features nothing but events occurring in Lee and Collier Counties only. That includes: Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Sanibel Island, Marco Island, Everglades City, Immokalee and Ave Maria. We take information directly from the organizers and "hosts" of the event itself. Even though we are listed as the "host" of an event that we create, this is set as a default by Facebook and cannot be changed. We try hard to make sure that event/host information is accurate and correct. You are absolutely allowed to suggest/share an event but do realize that it must be approved first. The reason is because I will not have this page plagued by spam, unauthorized and irrelevant content. What's allowed?
-Community Events
-Fundraisers
-Festivals
-Parades
-Annual City Events

What's definitely NOT allowed:
-Spam
-Small business promotions, including sales, grand openings or open houses with little or no community involvement, including real estate
-Business advertisements
-Strong political or religious based events
-Events or meetings focused on a singular brand or product.
-Classes, workshops and seminars, including fitness and exercise
-Music bands at clubs or bars that are not part of a major event
-Events with limited space available, less than 200 people. Applies to events being held at private residences.
-Events that do not contain a physical gathering of communal members, for example: virtual fun runs or purely donation fundraisers with no activities
-Events that do not have one venue, for example, bar hopping trolleys that go to different bars. Motorcycle rides are the only exception.
-Garage and yard sales
-Events that occur on a repetitive basis.
-Selling items

The ability to post to events has been withdrawn due to a large number of spam and highly inappropriate material being posted to the event's wall. And since Facebook does not give administrators the ability to ban users who post this irrelevant content to events (not to the page itself, that's something totally different), we have decided to take away the privilege to limit this garbage from plaguing the page. To let specific friends know of an event, either share the event to your page or to your specific friend's page. Due to protecting the privacy and image of our page, we do not allow the addition of co-hosts to our events.
